I have two kids here. Both are excited to learn and happy to go to school. Their teachers really seem to care about them, teach the material and have been responsive to me. The principal is very involved and personally contacted me when one kid had a minor issue at school. There is an active parents group that fundraises and plans fun events throughout the year.

My son is going into 1st grade this year. I couldn't be happier with this school. We moved to Castro Valley specifically because of its great schools, but feel like I really lucked out with Stanton Elementary.

Our family has had a wonderful experience at Stanton over the past four years. It's a warm, diverse community that strives to include everyone in the school. I've also been impressed by how the teachers accommodate a wide range of abilities within a classroom, and provide individual attention both to students in need of extra assistance and students ready for an additional challenge.

We have two kids at this school and it’s been a wonderful experience for the whole family. The kids are learning and thriving, but also, as parents, we’ve been able to engage with the school community through the Stanton Parents Association and the Dads’ Club and have made lifelong friends. We love our school!

Very bad unsafe school for kids with unequal opportunities

5 stars. I love the family community, the school places importance on diversity, there are a lot of events for families (e.g, dances, garden clean up, cookies and sing along around the holiday, international night, sock hop, movie nights). And extra curricular activities for kids are available (chess, track, book challenge etc ). The teachers are knowledgeable, responsive, and easy to check in with. My daughter is thriving academically and is confident in her school community.

Diverse learning environment, fantastic principal, high standards, plenty of extracurricular activities. Wish more parents would get involved, but that seems to be the norm at any school.

At the time my son was there Jack was principle and he was great. But my son had a teacher who was cruel to him. Essentially she bullied him. She had favorites and he wasn't one of them. I didn't know how bad it was until a year later when his friends started telling me about the way she treated him. She teaches a different grade now and it's been a few years but she will always be remembered. The other teachers were great but she made a 10 year old boy feel terrible about himself.
