My children have been surrounded by high character talented teachers throughout their time at the school. My son was accepted into every college he applied including top schools with very competitive application processes. Their teachers care about the students and tirelessly work to provide top notch learning opportunities everyday. The student body is supportive of each other and genuinely care. There are quality extracurricular programs for all students available. Central High is the best school in the area for students. You cannot go wrong sending your child there.

Let's just hope things change and the good teachers don't get fired for showing compassion to students that reach out for help.

Central High School is a wonderful place to send your child. Some of the comments that have been made on this forum I believe were made about a different "Central High School." The Central High in Carrollton does not have a nursery, and Central High School in Carrollton has twice as many programs for aiding students with learning disabilities and difficult socio-economic seasons of life than any other student on their campus. Central is a wonderful place for people of ALL walks of life and if you call the school during work hours, someone will pick up...GUARANTEED.

This school is full of administration, staff, and teachers that truly care about the future of each student. Teachers are very willing to help students where they are at and are very understanding and try to work with students to help them get a premiere education.

Our experience in this school has been beyond excellent. My son and daughter are successful adults, in no small part, because of the efforts of Central High School.

If your family's income is above average so is your child's grades.. money makes the student at this school.. no money..no help..child is left behind and judged by all including teachers...my son needed help and my phone calls and requests went unanswered and my child was passed off to another program the school offered just to excel and prove this school needs help and when he needed it they passed him off to someone else.. Thank goodness for the help of the program otherwise my child would've quit bc of bullying and judgement calls by their own staff of teachers

My son has attended Central for a year and it has been a great experience for him. The teachers are very caring and attentive to his needs and he has thrived in this environment. There seems to be opportunities for parental involvement and the principal is very good at giving parents information about new things at school and activities that are going on.

Wasn't impressed with this school at all, everything was fine with my child until he started 11th grade. He was allowed to change his schedule and get early release when he didn't have a job. No contact was made to me about the changes. When conflict raised with a teacher and asked for help none was given. It is up to the parent to stay on the attendance and everything when it comes to your child because they don't have a clue. The only way they jump in to help is when they are forced.

one of the top 5 band programs in the state, school pride is on the rise, and the old mentality of being "the other school" is vanishing fast!!
