When I moved into this school district 14 years ago I heard a lot of negativities about Tolt Middle School. I did not take it seriously. I did not have children at the time. Now I am living a nightmare. My son is being bullied. The culture here is toxic. The name calling, tormenting and belittling is abusive. I have seen a video of a teacher walking by a student being bullied and she looked the other way. There should be a safe space for a student or parent to voice their concerns without retaliation by students or staff. I just want my child protected.

I’m a student here and I think the school is great. For one, the building itself it’s super nice. It’s mainly outdoors and is very clean and easy to navigate.Secondly, the staff and teachers are so nice ( I mean the p.e. Teacher is a little terrifying but whatever) and they are incredibly understanding. And probably the most important part is the education is pretty good as well, I’ve grown a lot in the years here and I just love the environment I would definitely recommend this school.

Coming from a student, this place sucks! The equality of it is non existent, and the school doesn't take any measures of bullying seriously. For petty behavior, you get lunch detention. For threatening and bullying or being homophobic or racist, you get lunch detention. Lunch detention is the only thing they do, but it doesn't do anything because its not detention, you just sit on the stage and get to cut the lunch line. Most of the teachers are good, but the administration for this school is so bad.

Every teacher is amazing and effective! I have learned so much from my math teacher this year, I am going to be in Algebra 1 in 7th grade! Food is AMAZING! My only concern is that a lot of kids have no self control when dealing with junk food, so they buy a ton of cookies, soda, ice cream, etc. at lunch from the A Le Carte, just because they can!

Out the teachers I have had have been great, our teachers are respectful of what we have to say and bullies don't seem to be a problem here

Very caring and involved teachers and staff. Strong academic programs. Worth the trip from Duvall.

I don't know how anyone can rate this school less than 5 stars. My child is thriving in this positive environment with teachers that are fully engaged with their students and passionate about teaching. The new principal is fantastic and is out with the kids constantly talking with them. I wish I would have had as great experience at this age level as my daughter is. I volunteer there and the energy is positive, the kids are polite and happy (for the most part) and I love being there and seeing their smiling faces... Couldn't be happier!

After 3 awful years at this school I am glad to be out. The teachers can be nice, but some can be inappropriate. The (former) principle shows no care in a students learning and does not explain what happens, it just happens, and also does not agree with a student moving up a higher level while the student is in a lower grade. The vice principle is flat out rude. This person treats students and parents like small children and has no care for a students well being unless they are in a sport. All in all, not a good place to be, the only upside is the good teachers and awesome councilors. Sadly, I would say do not send your children here, it is not a good experience.
