    The worst elementary school in St. Landry Parish.

    This is an amazing school. A few bad teachers but the good far out way the bad. It is a small school but definitely a great school.

    I have mixed feelings about this school. Some teachers are great, some are horrible and shouldn’t be around children.

    Great teachers, great student body and parents BUT school is unbelievably under funded even by Louisiana / St. Landry Parish standards. There is no playground equipment at all, no real parking lot - must use neighboring church parking lot to pick up / drop off kids. I must admit between spending $800 for just one child on uniforms, supplies, chair back caddy (a place to put their books because proper desks are a fable there) fees and others misc. this school will nickel and dime you broke.

    AWESOME SCHOOL. I went there as a kid, and now my son is. Love it!

    Cankton Elementary is a wonderful little community school! The teachers are top-notch! They truly care about our children and provide wonderful, challenging experiences in the classroom. Most parents are very active and involved and the students are hard workers!!
