My child was hurt on the playground, supposedly there were four teachers watching kindergartners however none noticed nor helped him. His recess was early in the day therefore he interacted with various faculty throughout the day. Upon picking him up I noticed abrasions with dirt and dried blood on his knees and elbow. This occurred during the beginning of the school year, he was wearing shorts and a short sleeve shirt. I followed up with the teacher immediately who showed no concern other than to inform me of how many teachers were “watching” the kids. Follow up with the principal produced no results, she said she would investigate and get back with me, that never came to fruition. My child only attended for a couple weeks before I pulled him, in that time he began writing letters backwards, demonstrated behavioral problems, dreaded going to school and crying daily, told me numerous times about rules and what he couldn’t do and what the teachers wouldn’t help him with. Learning should be fun, and for safety reasons adults should be vigilant with their surroundings.

As a teacher in a nearby county, I've never seen a school take so many inclement weather days to close early, delay start times, or flat out cancel school altogether. How is this benefitting our children??? COVID took enough precious time away from them. They need to be in school.

The watchdog program that the school adopted is what makes this school stand out. Having extra eyes for bullying and security purposes ease my mind as a parent. The teachers LOVE their job and their students.

We are a Coast Guard family that moved to Camden in the middle of my daughter's 1st grade year. The staff and students were very welcoming and she adjust nicely. She's in second grade now and loves her school. The Principal and other staff are amazing. We had an issue with a bully on the bus and they took steps immediately to remedy the issue. My younger two will start Kindergarten here in the Fall and I'm confident they will have a positive experience as well.

After many moves we have found a home @ Grandy. Wish I had more characters to properly review but here's the high lights; *Experienced teachers really enjoy our kids & take pride in what they do. *Principal/VP really listens to parents & act promptly no matter how small or big the issue. *All staff clearly enjoy their jobs & make everyone feel welcome, they take great pride in your child's success and happiness. *The small town hospitality/family like atmosphere mixed w/cutting edge materials/resources that exceed what I have seen in eveny big city school district with larger funding pools. *Parent & community involvement here is just astonishing. School events feel like county events, every one is there. *Special needs students are @ an advantage here. I've seen first hand how successful they are @ transitioning a high functioning child from full resource to full home room, at grade level, with above average grades. * Average to above average students, like my middle child, the teachers eagle eye what each child needs to reach their full potential. I am constantly amazed at how smooth things run here & I can finally relax knowing my kids are in good hands.
