This website is very outdated. Mr. Boyden the new principal is amazing. He is engaging and energetic. St. Peters is adding a STEM Center. Over the next 5 years they will increase community service and provide sports that compete against other schools at the middle school level. Community is amazing. While nothing is perfect, I highly recommend visiting St. Peters, you will be impressed.

Unlike most private schools in Cambridge, you will find genuine social and economic diversity in this school. That makes for a better community. Come for the parents and students, grit your teeth over the leadership and academics, and be prepared to fund all extra-curriculars out of pocket.

We have been a St Peter family for over 9 years and are happy with the experience. Like most schools they have good and not so good teachers and have had a lot of turnover recently but the really good ones have stayed. Academically they are excellent and diversity from a nationality and socio-economic perspective is strong. They have worked on their afterschool program and it has also improved from when we were first in the younger grades, but there is very limited to no afterschool activity directed at the Middle School. They used to have an significant, annual musical production targeted at the older children, where all participated in some shape or form - whether acting, singing or crew - which provided a real sense of passage and closeness and the kids looked forward to it; but it has been replaced by a simpler event mostly involving the young kids. That is probably my biggest criticism of the school - the lack of non academic activity directed at grades 6-8. That said, there is a strong sense of community - most of the kids have known each other for years, they're very welcoming to newcomers, but there's also just a sense of family. We will be sad to move on.

I have attended Saint Peter School since the kindergarden, and now, at the end of my time here, I am jubilant to be leaving. Although Saint Peters offers a very safe environment, it gives little in the way of diversity. The teachers here get better through the years, yet the humanities curriculum is still very much inchoate and in its infancy. In addition, the system of detentions and punishment is rather archaic. The school will benefit from the new leadership that is expected at the end of the year. In sum, review your options carefully when choosing a school for your child.

I have attended St. Peter school for 9 years now, and I have seen it grow in education, love, and care. This school is fun. Pure fun. We have exciting games and activities, but also advanced math groups and challenging history courses. WE all have neat and cute uniforms. I love my school

This is an amazing school. Outstanding faculty, great students and families. The students perform very well in national achievement tests and get into some great high schools (and colleges in the future).
