This school has a lot of fun programs and opportunities for the students. The librarian and art teacher go above and beyond to do fun activities for the kids. My child is so excited to go to school each day. I am always impressed with the number of staff/teachers that greet the students each morning. Many of my kids teachers have gone beyond what is ever expected and come to their out side of school sporting events.

FIVE STARS!!! These teachers, staff and administration are truly in the right profession! You feel it walking onto the school, conversations with other parents and see it in the teachers. They all want each child to succeed and all they want is to help them all get there. They do whatever it takes. They love these students and it shows!!

This is a agriculture school of leadership. They have ag barns with chickens, cows, goats, and sheep. They have areas where the students grow vegetables and learn about the soil. They even have a teacher whose first career was as a geologist. It very well could be named an agricultural school of greatness. Because they try to be great at everything.

The individual teachers and academics at Tarver-Rendon were great overall! My kids adored their teachers but they are limited to what the leadership of this school lets them do in the classrooms. The counselor there is really nice! My son had to see him weekly due to the bullying issues. He couldn't really resolve anything though because everyone said it's up to the principal. She never took our son's situation seriously. He didn't even make it to the end of the year as we felt his safety was more important.

Horrible experience. Would never recommend anyone send a child there with any disabilities

Tarver Rendon is a wonderful School of Agriculture Leadership. It has a Discovery Park which serves as a outdoor learning environment. Salad bars in the cafeteria, which contains some vegetables grown from the school's garden. There are dedicated and passionate teachers on campus that put students first and help create life-long learners. The librarian has Children Book Authors come and visit the school. The principal and assistant principal are active and visible to the students and promote leadership. Parents are involved and welcomed on campus. Great PTA and sense of community! The Watch Dog program allows fathers to be active on campus and help encourage students any way they can. This is my first year at Tarver Rendon and these are just a few of my favorite things I've noticed, so far!

Horrible, every negative comment I read I can agree with.

This will be my child's 5th year, each year is more disappointing than before. Mrs.Norwood (principal) is the most unapproachable person. It appears she runs a tight ship, sterile, prison like. When really a "tester" sent by MISD was able to get into our school last year. Parent involvement continues to decline. You can tell some of the teachers seem fed up with management. As a parent I'm torn, do I send my child into an unfriendly environment, where he really isn't that safe? The kids, teachers and parents deserve better.
