We started with our daughter in St. Albert's free tots program when she was 2 years old. We loved it so much that we decided to enroll her there for her first year of 3 year old preschool. The staff and teachers are so caring and truly love what they do. The school feels like home and feels like family. The more we get involved with volunteering, sports, ect. it solidifies that we made the right decision. We are so happy with our decision to enroll her and look forward to many more years of our daughter attending St. Albert the Great!

The sense of community that has been built here is wonderful. Everyone is welcoming and families among all grade levels become friends. We know that our children are being cared for and nurtured. Trusting the environment where your children are placed every day is extremely comforting.

St Albert the Grear has been one of the best choices we have made for our daughter’s education. My oldest started in kindergarten and this year she will be graduating with honors from 8th grade. This school not only provides a high level of education but most importantly values, faith and love to each other. I couldn’t ask for more. While at the work, I know my kids are happy, safe and learning new ways to see the world.

The word FAMILY defines this school. It has great class sizes and each and every teacher and staff member cares for the children as if they were their own. I can trust on countless other parents to help support in any time of need from drop off to pick up. The clubs and activities including Violin, cooking, dance and more are second to none and we have excellent athletic opportunities as well. All starting st thr Pre-K level! I am beyond thrilled to have chosen St. Albert the Great as the school for my child.

St. Albert the Great is a gem of a school in our area. Kids learn to be confident in their abilities.

I can't imagine sending my kids to another school. The attention they get at SATG is beyond compare. The teachers and principal are fantastic and will absolutely go out of their way to make sure the kids are taken care of.

We are very happy with our choice to send our daughter to St. Albert the Great School. We have come to find that this school is more like a family as they truly care about the children, their progress and learning and their well-being. The teacher are amazing and the principal has done an exceptional job getting new programs and grants to improve the school technology and curriculum.

Our family transferred to St. Albert the Great from another Catholic school in the city four years ago and never looked back. We have had a wonderful experience here and truly believe in the quality of education it provides. My kids are happy to attend each day and the school has come a long way during our time here. I am excited to see where the principal will take our school next.

Students reflect the intolerant attitude of faculty, who, although experienced are out of touch with the times. Younger faculty would breathe life into this cloistered school. Faculty does not like to be questioned by paying customers (parents). Student opinion and free thought are not appreciated if they clash with or show more subject knowledge than the teacher. Like all schools, this school has its own bullying problem except that is not being properly addressed or acknowledged. Entered with high hopes and was almost immediately disappointed.

Choosing a school for my daughter was a very tough decision and considered several other Catholic schools in the area. The choice of St. Albert the Great was by far the best decision we made. 1. The teachers are amazing. 2. A strong family community that is unbelievable. 3. The parish is very welcoming. 4. My daughter LOVES it. Thank you to the new principal Mrs. McLawhorn. You are doing a great job this year. Our family is so proud to say we are a St. Albert family.

St Albert the Great is a great school! The teachers are wonderful and the new principal has already done so much to improve our already great school. The communication about school related news is wonderful. We love this school!

Nothing in the area compares to this school. Ask anyone around, if the kids are elsewhere, it’s only because it’s too late to pull them out and send them – that’s what all my friends tell me with the older ones but anyone with young kids is looking to make the move here for next year. Mostly because everyone says the St. Albert Principal is very smart, like, incredibly smart and I agree, he’s darn smart. But he’s very nice and the kids love him. Theres a strong family community here in every sense where the kids are challenged and nurtured. Nothing fancy here at our school, just great teachers and great people who care. My family loves it but most importantly my kids adore the school.

I am a long time parent of St. Albert the Great. All of my children started in preschool and graduated from here and went of to do great things at Queen of Peace and Br. Rice. I have one more left. So much has happened over the years from different pastors. Principals, and the good and bad, but one thing has remained constant, the quality of the teachers and the sense of community. My children have learned how to be good Catholics and know the importance of a good education. Sending kids to a Catholic school is a sacrifice - but it is well worth the money if you want to ensure that your children turn out to be good people, well rounded, courteous, and faith driven. There were many times when we thought the school might not continue, but since Mr. O’Rourke came we find leadership, stability, and great, great, great improvement in every facet of the school. We will miss this place but always keep everyone in our prayers. St. Albert the Great is a incredible school.

My family is new to the school and love everything about it! The teachers are very helpful and nice. Each week we get an letter about all that is happening there and the news is always joyous. The Principal is quick to help and offer advice, you can tell he deeply cares about the school and the children. We love the Family Mass that is once a month - something our previous school did not offer. I can’t imagine my kids anywhere else.

Just transferred my son to St. Alberts this year and what a quick turnaround he has made. His old school was overcrowded, lacked discipline, and was full of bullies. He hated to go to school and had few friends and was picked on a lot and bullied. After just a few days at St. Alberts he has made a lot of new friends and he loves coming to school and he is happy. He is like a different kid since he started at St. Albert. The teachers are able to teach instead of fighting for control of the classroom with disruptive kids. The Principal has been a Godsend helping me to understand about the schools religious programs and the curriculum and the clubs and sports. He was also very helpful in explaining financial aid and the process. A fantastic experience so far!

I agree with the other parent who posted on August 21. This school is not only amazing but safe. The negative post on June 10, 2015 was by a loner parent who never helped, volunteered or got involved and was always looking to gossip and spread negativity - 99% thought he had an agenda (we’re glad he’s gone). BUT, how about wonderful St. Albert the Great! Dedicated teachers and an awesome Principal makes our school the envy of the south side.

I am really upset as I overheard in the parking lot this morning that a former parent wrote several negative remarks here - all 7 on June 10 it looks like. It is a shame because this school has come incredibly far since the principal came here. Ever year he has hired a band to play for the children and families on the first day of school and all the change has been so positive and made our school come alive again. This parent who wrote below labeled a kindergartener a bully? From what I hear, maybe he should have paid more attention to his own kid. This school is spiritually sound and Catholic first. With that comes amazing teachers, well behaved kids, high expectations in the classroom, and an honest and very dedicated principal we a lucky to have. Can’t say enough about St. Alberts - my kids love and I love it too.

This school has no means of accommodating children with learning or behavioral disorders. They are placed into a standard classroom and pose as a constant distraction for the other students. My child was bullied and injured numerous times along with other classmates, yet nothing was done. My child will be going to a better/safer school and I advise anyone looking into this school to avoid it at all cost.
