I had a child thriving in a private school attend this school only to be harassed by the teachers so bad he hated school. He is athletic and competitive but at this school hates gym and recess. This is my second son to attend this school and constantly picked on by the teachers and principal. There was no safe place for him at this school. There is also a major favoritism for the girls in this school. They can do everything the boys do and more without being picked on or harassed. Please look elsewhere where your child specifically boys will feel safe and supported.

I have had 2 children go to Northwinds for all 6 years and another currently there. I have found the staff to be fantastic, with more than a few exceptional teachers along the way. Interactions with the Principal are welcomed and appreciated. My kids have always felt safe, valued, challenged and excited for school. The building is great with lots of windows, open areas and well kept. I'm very appreciative of the education and support for my kids while at Northwinds.

Last year I could not say enough good things about special ed services. But, this year, different kid, different teacher; there are "issues" now that are causing me to re-think how flattering I want to be. Certain teachers, awesome. Certain administrators, frustrating. I'll leave it at that for the moment.

When my husbands job took us to this area, we decided on Buffalo because the school system was highly rated. We are very happy with the move. We have been so pleased with the Buffalo School District! The teachers at Northwinds have been wonderful, very caring. The principal, Mrs Fenis is very fair and does a wonderful job. It is a newer school which is also nice. They also have a great playground that the kids love going to. I can't think of one bad thing to say about Northwinds. I love it!

My son currently attends Northwinds, and went from adoring everything about school at the beginning of the year to hating to go now. He is only in 1st grade, but is nit-picked daily by teachers and staff for things any normal 7 year old would do....getting in trouble for basically being a kidand voicing his opinion ocassionally. You cannot tell me that every child in that school is a perfect angel, except my son! But for some reason it is almost like they have singled him out as a 'trouble-maker' even though he displays none of these traits any other time. I am so unhappy with his experience that I am now researching options of switching him to another school.
