This is a senior at this school writing this review. I will be completely honest, this school is awful. I have been attending this school since 7th grade. I can't speak for the elementary, but I can speak for the Middle and High School. We'll start with the Pros. Most of the staff and about half of the teachers are very nice and helpful. The teachers that are helpful, treat every student equally and tend to their learning needs and give everyone a chance. They may switch up a lesson or teach/explain it in a different way so that the student that is struggling may understand it better. The classrooms are smaller, which is nice for students that don't like being in a huge class with a lot of people. The school also provides free breakfast. Now that the Pros are done let's move on to the Cons, shall we? The other teachers don't treat people fairly or with respect. They pick favorites, treat others like they're dumb. If you're a student that works slowly or takes longer to do work, you'll be left behind. It's almost as if the student that's left behind doesn't exist to the teacher. If the kid doesn't understand and tries to ask a question they always answer a question with a question or will make you feel dumb since you don't understand. Almost more than half of the students here are horrible people. So many people here don't treat the teachers or staff with respect. They'll swear at them, call them names, and are overall just rude. It's not just the adults, some students treat other students like this as well. Some students think they own the place and think they can just do whatever it is they want. People get bullied a lot and the staff says they take care of it but they never do unless the student punched someone. The majority of the students here are also stoners, they smoke and vape, some of them drink too. The lunches are disgusting with the only good food being the items they don’t make like Bosco Sticks. I had a cheeseburger and almost threw up because the cheese tasted like rubber. The school also seems to care more about sports and school spirit than education. If you're not a popular person or don't play sports, your nobody and nobody cares about you or your problems. Even the teachers act like this, always catering to the popular people and students that play sports more than the people that actually need help. Thank you for your time

Buckley is a fantastic school. The school is clean and welcoming and the staff is great. This is a great school and a great place to raise children!

This is a great school. The staff is amazing, with dedicated teachers who go well above and beyond. The school has a very welcoming environment, with well maintained facilities. The school provides many community outreach events, which are well attended and supported.

Great atmosphere when you walk inside everyone is very helpful & kind, small class sizes for kids to get great learning, teachers take pride in their kids and are very caring.

the school needs lots of help it is a very poor place to have to send your kids but it is the law.

There is a lack of communication from staff to parents. Last year one of my children did something and had to go to the school counselor. When I went to the school and asked what happened (the school never contacted me about this) they wouldn t tell us initially we had to wait and get the principle involved. Last week, while picking my children up early I hear a boy crying from the back office,"Please let me know home, my stomach really hurts. Please! In the car my daughter tearfully told me it was her friend, a sweet little boy from the poorest family in town. My daughter insisted they never called the mom. After unsuccessfully trying to assure her that they had called his mom I called her myself. Well, the school NEVER called his mom to tell her that her child was in the office for an hour sick and crying. The office staff was very upset with me. Superintendent saying,"He wasn't sick, he does this all the time. That is what I told the mother on the phone." The secretary stated, "You just have to trust that we know what we are doing." Whether or not the child was really sick the parents should have known. How many other children have been left to cry in the office?
