The quality of education at this school is exceptional, thanks to dedicated teachers who go above and beyond. The English and History departments, in particular, have inspiring educators whose commitment exceeded my expectations.Elective classes are unique and engaging, sparking intellectual curiosity and encouraging exploration. The new Head of School has been a positive addition, bringing clear leadership and a strong vision for the future. The community feels safe and supportive, though with only about 60 students per grade, experiences may vary. Additionally, the school does not offer AP classes, which may be a consideration for those planning to attend certain colleges or graduate early. They don't have big orchestra, or marching band so if you want to have those activities at school, unfortunately this is not the school you want. ( there are some high level youth orchestra in Philly, so you can always play outside of school. ) While I wasn't initially drawn to an all-girls school, I now understand its appeal. Because there are so many leadership opportunities, it has helped my daughters grow into confident, critical thinkers. As far as I know, I have never heard of any serious bullying or anything and the community is very wholesome. But I know some kids are stressed out with academics, EC activities, or social etc, but I guess that's inevitable in any schools.

The Baldwin School provides unparalleled education and resources. The new Head of School is doing an excellent job with enhancing community connections. The girls are challenged, supported, and, as a result, thriving.

Having spent six figures on Baldwin school, I can tell you with strong conviction that it is a waste of money. This school is for ultra rich people to buy preferential treatment for their kids. And money is the only parameter the administration cares. If your kid is smart, just choose one of the public schools in the area and they are all better than Baldwin. At Baldwin, your smart and hardworking kid will be bullied by spoiled, jealous and privileged class members who are emboldened by their parents. Do not believe all the marketing that Baldwin puts out there trying to paint a picture of perfectness. Other review sites do not even allow someone to share their experiences because they live on the marketing funds from such private schools.

I am still using all that I learned at Baldwin many years later. I am forever grateful.

As a parent of 2 very different girls who are both thriving, I feel so fortunate to have found Baldwin. Our oldest daughter had started at another private school. At that school, by 3rd grade we realized the quality of education wasn't really that much better than public. Our daughter didn't feel challenged academically and we decided to look around. Our daughter visited Baldwin and immediately felt at home! The girls were so warm and welcoming. Now, 6 years later with my daughter in high school, I can not imagine a better school! The teachers are engaged and truly excellent. The community is diverse, inclusive and has a real warmth. My daughter loves school, has a lot of friends and feels challenged but not at all stressed. She is very involved in the arts and loves the variety..from jewlery making, to scultpure to painting, to photography..truly amazing! Our youngest daughter is in middle school and she too is thriving although she is a completely different child She is very involved in sports and community service. Baldwin is a place where every girl feels included and challenged and supported! I see how confident and happy my girls are and am so happy they are at Baldwin.

I am so grateful for Baldwin and everything they have done to help me become a strong, confident woman over the thirteen years I spent on the gorgeous campus. Baldwin prepared me for college and beyond, as well as helped mold me into the person I am today. Baldwin is academically rigorous, and still has the best SAT scores out of the inter-ac schools. The teachers and coaches , my mentors and role models, are enthusiastic about learning and never fail to be creative. In addition to the stellar academics, Baldwin offers competitive athletic programs, including one of the world's best squash teams and an amazing tennis team. The arts are emphasized, and Upper Schoolers are offered courses ranging from playwriting to art history to jewelry making. Lastly, Baldwin's select a-capella group, the B Flats, manages to always sound like angels when they sing. Without the confidence and superb experience Baldwin gave me, I know that I wouldn't be the person I am. I am so thankful to this school and all of the teachers that dedicate their lives to the students. I hope that if you are reading this you will consider Baldwin, a place that had helped me exceedingly.

Excellent Academics. Strong focus on Athletics. The school's tagline "Thinking Girls" should read instead "Bullying Girls". Bullying is a HUGE problem at this school. Despite the so-called no tolerance for bullying, the school seems to largely ignore the problem and pays lip service to addressing the issue. A very big disappointment for us. Per the website "A delight in ideas, a sense of curiosity and humor, and a commitment to honoring the dignity of others are among Baldwin's highest values." Baldwin does a great job in fostering thinking outside the box, curiosity and humor, and new ideas. It falls way short of honoring the dignity of others by allowing a widespread "mean girls" culture to co-exist.

Amazing place. I went for 7 years and graduated from Baldwin. No other organisation has had such a profound impact on my life. As a senior executive in technology, I can confidently say that the experience has given me the confidence to go after my goals.
