Pros: The elementary Bible classes and Scripture memorization and really all the classes are incredible and valuable beyond measure. For the upperclassmenSports, CSO, field trips, Home ec, cooking, foreign language classesThe science classes were amazing with the teacher who taught apologetics!English curriculum is incredible Nice cafeteria with a variety of lunchesBeautiful soccer field, and gymnasium. Private music lessons!Cons: bullying historically has been bad here and no one on staff will do anything about it. Also there is definitely nepotism towards those who's parents are on staff or faithful tithing members of the church. For the upperclassmen Bible and chapel classes, strong exegesis of Scripture and practical application ought to be emphasized more, as well as prayer groups actually praying out loud not just in silence in their heads; and more Spirit filled firey preaching to wake up the lukewarm. Frequently, Chapel services have conveyed messages like, "Nothing can separate you from God's love," good works are useless, just believe and pray a simple prayer." A more balanced and complete understanding of Scripture is necessary. Properly interpreting the Word of God reveals that Jesus, in His teachings, treats sin with the utmost seriousness. It's essential to recognize that our salvation is indeed a result of God's grace alone. However, even the demons acknowledge God's existence and shudder in fear. True believers, though, are no longer enslaved by sin; they have been set free to serve Jesus and have become new creations. Their lives should manifest the fruits of God's Spirit, reflecting holiness and transformation.A more comprehensive understanding of Scripture, emphasizing the seriousness of sin, and the transformative power of grace can help counterbalance this potential danger.Historically very few alumni even remotely ends up still serving the Lord upon leaving. I think people are encountering a religious system and not encountering the Holy Spirit. I pray often as God burdens my heart to intercede for a breakout of revival in this school!Parents: pray that the full armor of God be upon your kids in this mission field, & teach them to rightly divide the Word at home & have a genuine relationship with God.. can't emphasize this last paragraph enough

I attended this school from 6th grade to 12th grade. I attended public school before that, and HCS was a breath of fresh air! I learned so much Bible, and I thought I knew a lot when I started. Some may say the rules are strict, but there are strict rules in the world and work place. I never felt like I was being controlled or disrespect by the faculty. In fact, I felt very loved and could go to almost any teacher with a problem. I felt it really equipped me with the necessary education, conduct, and character skills necessary to hold down a job. I also tested out of several classes in college due to the high level of education I received at Heritage. The tests were so easy, I couldn't believe that was the level the college was at! Like any school, it is not perfect. No place is, but I feel so confident in the capabilities of this school, that I have enrolled both of my children there. They are both on the honor and merit roll. I have also seen a great improvement in their behavior as well as spiritual development which is very important to me. The administration is always available when I have a question or concern and work to resolve it quickly. I highly recommend this school!

I attended this school for several years. In my opinion the personal and professional conduct was sub-par. The teachers, for the most part are young and not qualified for the classes they teach. Many of the students are rude, and condescending to their fellow students. The principal seems almost ignorant in what was going on in this school, even though it is quite small. Having gone to other schools i can say that the education there is not anything particularly special. The really only great classes were the English and reading classes. Over all I did not enjoy my time at this school, and would not recommend it to anyone.

My 3 children all graduated from Heritage Christian School in the 1990's. All received an excellent education, graduated from college and are now in professional positions. I would recommend this school highly. I currently have 2 grandchildren attending the lower grades. Their reading is amazing. They love their teachers. The teachers are very caring, and the academic aspect is extremely high.

I was a student here from Kindergarten to Twelfth Grade. I know all the teachers, and they all know me very well. I've always gone to the school's church. I know most everything about this school, so my opinion is valid at least. Through my thirteen years here, I saw one thing: this school is strict. That is by no means an accident. They try to control every aspect of students life, from social life, language, actions, and basic personality. They never try to correct the problem, they just punish them (often in the strictest ways; I was suspended several times for simple mistakes, and I was not the only one). Education is decent, but the curriculum (A Beka Book) is the same as the homeschooling program, so the teachers are rarely qualified. A few years ago they enlisted a new principal (with whom I still talk) so I don't know how the elementary classes are with him, but seeing the newer teachers I can imagine that it is better than my time (1998-2011). The school is very strict, the teachers are mostly underqualified, and overall they are overly harsh on students. The only good thing that I got from this school is friendship, which really is all you have in such a strict place.
