Absolutely love the school. You have to look beyond numbers and test results. You will have yourself a truly well rounded kid because the school focuses on the child as a whole and not just individual test results. There is more to school than numbers. Caring teachers, great and warm environment, nice families, fantastic principal, and the list goes on. If you get accepted consider yourself lucky!

My daughter started going to PS 48 in Mapleton this past February. The teachers and administration have been wonderful, welcoming, and have made her transition a positive experience. The general atmosphere encourages learning and the Principal goes out of her way to be involved and a positivie influence for the children and staff. We have been extremely happy with the curriculum, and envirinment at PS 48. My only concern is that the PTA generally meets during the day and would request they meet in the evenings for more parent involvement

Long record of excellence in a changing neighborhood. The principal's favorite expression is,"It's all about the children!",and that is evident in how she leads the school community. An experienced staff provides an excellent learning environment in a close-knit,safe school. A parent can feel confident that his/her child will receive an excellent education at PS 48.

This is a fine school that welcomes students into a safe, comfortable environment conducive to learning. The Principal, APs, Staff, Teachers, Parents and Students, all make this school as special as can be. I truly enjoy the time I spend there and believe any parent would love to have their child attend this wonderful school.
