We feel so lucky that both our kids are at PS32. The teachers, paras, administration and staff are exceptional. Every single person is so invested in our kids. All students get individualized attention even in the bigger classes. The culture of the school is incredibly inclusive, equitable, and kind. The education the kids get is excellent and what I’ve always wanted for my kids.

I have taught in three other schools and can confidently say that PS 32 is a special place. The classroom teachers are thoughtful and dedicated, the specialty teachers are exceptional, and the classes are SMALL with two teachers. I have a student doing high school-level math and a student with a math disability and both get extra attention and projects to meet their needs. A lot of attention is paid to social/emotional development, identity, and cultural importance.PS 32 is a hidden gem.

I could not think of a better place for my kid than PS 32. There is so much individualized attention provided that I truly feel like we're in a private school without paying tuition! The teachers are phenomenal. My kid is in a Kindergarten class this year (NOT G&T), and I'm consistently blown away by how the teachers get him excited for reading & writing (he and his classmates are far ahead of others in "more desirable" neighborhood schools; he is fluently reading chapter books) and math. I wish I learned math the way he is learning it at 32 (on a recent snow day zoom, he created a two-step formula to make the number 9....). He loves dance, music, art, gardening, science, gym and library that he gets as part of his school day and has connected with all of these specialty teachers. He Kindergarten is also learning chess. I truly can't say enough wonderful things about this school.

We truly feel that our children are getting a great education at PS32. The teachers and all of the staff are wonderful and really pay attention to each and every child. Have art, music, dance, science, gym, technology, and so many other enriching programs is highly valuable. We are very happy here.

We have been at PS32 for 3 years now and have had a really great experience. The teachers have been wonderful and accommodating to many different learning styles. We especially love the family fun nights and other events that bring the school community together!

My son is in Pre-K at PS 32 and our family could not be happier with the school, his teachers, and the community.

A wonderful school under Principal Watson's leadership. Our kids' teachers have been very committed and reliable. We chose PS32 over PS29 (for which we're zoned) due to PS32's special programs and diversity. It's been a great choice.

Both my daughters are thriving at PS 32, not just academically but also in their social and emotional development. We've been consistently impressed by every teacher they've had. The sense of community is strong but not intrusive, offering support if you seek it.

PS 32 is an amazing school. I feel so fortunate that my son has had the opportunity to grow and learn in this environment of caring, supportive, diverse, and patient educators. The leadership including the principal is honest, communicative, and responsive. This school is simply the best.

Excellent school. P.S.32 is a special and diverse community where my child can learn with and have friends from around the world. I can't imagine a better environment to prepare my child for a future.

I have mixed feelings about this school. On the one hand I think the NEST staff is amazing. I think the administration is terrible. I think the school has a rampant bullying problem that doesn't get addressed. They also don't have a playground anymore (just a tiny one but kids aren't allowed to go there except certain days). The classrooms are very disrupted by the behaviorally challenged kids (not the NEST kids). I think they're trying but it's not an effective or safe environment all the time-specifically for the kids in NEST. I think this used to be a better school but it's gone down hill.

This is the worst school I have ever experienced. The teachers I have encountered are sub-par at best. With the exception of a few not sure they truly love or want to teach. This has been the worst experience in public school for us. I would not recommend this school at all.

School is totally awsome, great teachers who take the time to really engage their kids in learning and in which bring out the positive vibes from the kids they need to move on. Aways communicating with parents, very hands-on.Love, love this school!!!

As a kindergarten teacher, a person should be caring, understanding and should have their very own way of handling children. PS 32 specializes in the NEST program, so why would mainstream kindergarten have 3 to 4 teacher's in the classroom, I mean, red boxes, which are used as classrooms! Not that these boxes are a major issue, I understand that this school is over crowded and needs to accommodate these children with the portables...The main issue about my experience in this school are of three particular teacher's, whom I won't mention, but will say they're from K1! The leader of the pack really doesn't have a backbone, she hides behind her assistant who by the way is very rude, has a blah personality, and in my opinion unprofessional. Then there is the 3rd assistant, who only attends to one child, I'm not really sure why she is even there. Then there's the 4th assistant a guy, who is really nice and friendly, but I'm also perplexed over his presence in the classroom, not sure why he's needed. So glad this year is over and I never have to deal with these type of teacher's again. I'll admit, I am sad that my baby's first year blew by so quick, but we will embrace the upcoming school year and grade with a better understanding of what is required by my child and I, and most importantly to maintain a healthy parent teacher relationship with teacher's who will hopefully be better than their predecessors.

This is by far the best school in the area. The school is small and it feels like family. I have nephews in the school and last year my step-son joined the school. They don't have a dual-language program, but they have an outstanding ESL teacher. He has learned English so quickly and is adapted to the school in less than two months. My daughter is now 1 but this is definitely going to be her elementary school.

This has been our two kids' first year at the school and we've been very happy with it. The kids are happy, engaged, and have developed a great appetite for reading which the school really cultivates. Their teachers are wonderful. As other reviews have mentioned, the facilities are impressive, especially for a small public school - great art and music rooms, beautiful library, a garden. The PTA is small but very dedicated and hard-working. There is a good selection of after-school enrichment classes and a free after-school program provided by the Good Shepard Services. We are so glad we ended up in this gem of a school.

I am a NEST parent at PS32. I feel like the team surrounding and supporting my child is excellent. He is supported, understood, and really cared about. My child participates in the same activities and curriculum with the other children. We love the diversity (G&T, social economic, cultural, racial, ASD NEST) of the school population. The PTA and the dedication of the staff really make this school stand out.
