It used to be a good school up to 20213. Not anymore. Security officer always on the phone, rude and disrespectful toward the parents. Office staff are not professional anymore and not friendly at all. Every morning principal and assistant principal meeting students just to show up their high hills and done for the day. When comes to some information to get or issue to resolve, they will ground you so you will be very sorry. Disappointing. As ppl say "The fish stinks from the head"

I have mixed reviews. For parents and kids, this is a good school. Kids here are brilliant and nice. It's mostly a friendly school in a good neighborhood. For new upcoming teachers, stay away from this school. You can absolutely find something better. You'll be gambling if you take this school as a job. Here's why: it's a clickity school. This school is completely all about their little small group cliques and either you fit in or don't. If you do not, that's where everything goes south. You will feel like that kid back in middle school who would be ousted by their peers. You'll be left out of every thing you can possibly imagine. You will be ignored and even met with an attitude. There is so much passive aggressiveness in this school that it's ridiculous. If you in any shape or form challenge some of these teachers who've been here for so long, they will make sure the rest of your days feel like misery. All of a sudden before you know it, you're stressed out day in and day out, and you end up hating your job. As a newbie, you will get no support from anyone and honestly, there's no one you can trust. Forget about the principal, she's completely untrustworthy and will stab you in the back in a heartbeat. Either you can bond with people here or it's your job on the line every single day.

This is a good neighborhood school. There is so much the teachers can do. There is not enough parent involvement. But yes as someone said, if you try to make a complaint, they will back each other.

It looks like P.S. 128 was a good school back in 2008 and 2009 as I see the reviews with 5 stars...not the case now in 2017-2018. The staff starting with the principal ALWAYS sides her staff when you complaint about different issues. They are not sensitive and most of them don't have the "gift" of teaching but do it because they need a job. We need better teachers in our schools.

PS128 has a great staff and a rigorous curriculum. They all work together to make sure that ALL children's needs are met and all children learn to their highest potential. PS128 is a very caring and nurturing environment with lots of activities. The children are happy while they are learning!
