My son graduated ELS in 2013 and although we had our ups and downs I would still recommend this school. There is a lot that can be improved here but for a small predominately African American school, I think with the support of the community, these improvements can be made. My overall experience was a positive one.

My son started in this school for the sixth grade and now in the seventh. I cannot wait for him to graduate. I thought this was a great school and the main focus was on the kids. However, their main focus is the money, their unorganized for a small school. I also dont think all of the kids anre treated fairly. The principal treats her favorite children better than others. For example. the seventh graders had a trip to a specialized highschool. she took only the kids she though should go. Unless if a child tries to set the school bus on fire, then all of the kids should go. The idea of the trip is to inspire kids...all of the kids. Not just your favorites. If you have another alternative please send your child there...unless they change the principal
