I worked at Brooklyn LAB my entire teaching career until two days ago when I put in my two week resignation and was immediately told not to return and had all my benefits discontinued. I considered myself a “LAB-lifer” until this past school year. The amount of nepotism and questionable practices that occur there became unbearable. I recently saw a music video that was shot in the school by the CEO and was left with the thought how could this be approved, how is this appropriate? This place runs like a corporation that are out of touch with their clients and too arrogant to admit so instead of a school and it’s sad because students are suffering immensely.

If I could give this school a triple zero I would there is a lot of teachers leaving as well as students the staff can't handle dealing with keeping bullying down they don't educate the kids properly and when you reach out about academic support they completely ignore it the school 77 sands street looks nice but you ever heard just cause it glitters it doesn't always shine imagine my child being penalized on her report for attendance meanwhile she has prep school classes and you definitely reached out to each teacher and the office staff with documentations and asked them to sent her with make up and homework which only the Math teacher gives every once and a while I sorry the two teachers left they actually took time to give her work I'm mad she has to go to regular school same time she is at prep school and I wish I left her in her previous school they actually graded off academics not attendance that is out of her control because I want a better education she is being penalized DON'T SEND YOUR CHILD HERE THEY DON'T HELP KIDS THAT ARE BEING BULLIED I FEEL SORRY PARENTS DON'T CARE FOR THEIR KIDS THAT ARE BEING BULLIED CAUSE I FEEL SORRY FOR HER PEERS THAT DEAP WITH THIS ESPECIALLY THOSE WITH INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES

Just incompetent staff throughout the entire school. Not timely in sending out notices; they wait until the last minute. They don’t respond to emails right away. Always some nonsense with these people. My son is a senior and I’m GLAD he’s leaving.

My experience with Brooklyn Lab has been so good and very strong. The only criticism I have at the school is the porr communication from some of the teachers. The leadership is great and I really like the new high principle who is responsive to parents and committed to communicating. It is such an improvement from the director last year

My scholar has been going to Lab for 3 years, We have had a wonderful experience and when we needed the support as a family during a tough time the school was there for us. The founders even called me when our family was having a tough time and assured us that we had their 100% support. Erin, in particular, showed a ton of love and understanding. We are back on our feet now and excited for the next four years at the LAB in the high school.

Overall our experience at Lab has been nothing short of a miracle after what we have been through at other schools. They value each student and take the time to get to know them. You'd be lucky to get in.

This is an amazing school. This is a great school for families in Brooklyn. We have been here a year and we really have loved the fact that they are always in touch. I love the newsletter being online every week, I check grades online, get the message when my son is tardy. The communicate and communicate and support. Not a fan of one of the receptionist at Sands but everyone else is great

My experience at Brooklyn Lab has been great. This is not a school like Success - they actually treat kids like humans and value parents. I have loved my son being here and we plan to stay through 12th grade.
