I definitely recommend sending ur child to this school academically wise, and sports wise.Yhe teachers really love these students and all.

This school has a horrible support system. Students often do whatever they want in this school and the staff's only answer is to kick students out instead of talking to them and working with them. High school is meant to be some of the best 4 years of your life and going to Benjamin Banneker you would never get that experience. This school does not allow students to speak out and express themselves. And often holds them back.

Parent do not send your child to Benjamin Banneker academy in brookly ny ,this is the worst high school in Brooklyn and the principal is never around to greet parent that come to school every day and office staff is clue less and they do not have the latest idea on what is going on. NYC.doe need to get ride of the principle parents please read this review. March 26,2015.

Banneker is great ... I am currently a freshman at Banneker and I can honestly say its amazing. the teachers care and make it easy to keep up with your grades and offer plenty of oppurtunities afterschool if you do not understand. They help prepare us for the regents and I was able to take 3 January regents thanks to their help. GREAT SCHOOL !!

I haven't exactly started going here yet. I literally just got the acceptance letter a few hours ago. From what everyone else here is saying and from when I first went to visit this school, I think it seems good enough. I REALLY hope I enjoy my time here!

As a 2009 graduate from Benjamin Banneker Academy, I must say that my teachers and taking advantage of the AP courses offered has prepared me well for college. Now a junior pursing my BA degree I often look back on what I learned in high school and I must say, this school really is great all around.

I am a Freshman this year. I thought these reviews were lies, but when I entered Banneker I realized that they were true. The teachers really care and it just feels like one big family. The seniors are not mean to younger students. Everybody basically get along.

My Daughter Is now A senior in This School ,and she has really enjoyed her time, the teachers have such a "one on one" with parents and students about their academics for the most part.They also encourage the students to strive for whatever they feel will make them successful in the future. I love it

I love this school! My daughter started this year and has adapted very well. All of the teachers and staff are engaged and show great concern for the childrens learning. In addition, their are a great deal of extracurriculer activities. Parents are involved and the principal is really excellent!
