I want to be able to recommend this school, but can’t. First the pros: teachers were committed to excellence for the kids. But:- no technology of any kind, and teachers were completely unfamiliar of usage.- no facilities. Park up the street was the gym, no auditorium in house. - administrator purported to have the childrens best interest at heart, but didn’t. During COVID, with less than one week before school was to begin, he closed down all of the grades above UPK, sending parents and students into turmoil. This was despite several of us asking if he needed assistance with creating COVID plans and teaching the teachers about Zoom. Deposits weren’t fully refunded (and some received nothing). It was a poor indicator of the concern held for our children. If you want a great example of how this school SHOULD be…head to The Learning Tree.

I first heard about Regent School through one of my close friends. Her daughter was going there and she always raved about how excellent the school was and how her daughter was excelling. My daughter was going to a charter school at the time and I was not happy so I decided to give Regent School a try. This was probably the best decision I ever made for my daughter. We both love this school and are very happy with every aspect of it. The leadership is great, the teachers are terrific, the academics is strong and demanding and the students are well-behaved. The other students made my daughter feel welcomed and she made friends instantly. I now realize what my friends was talking about about and I am glad I made the switch. My daughter is now in the 7th grade and is at the top of her class because of the excellent education she recieved at Regent School. I am confident my daughter will be successful and we will have no one to thank but the wonderful people at Regent School.

I truly LOVE this school!! Regent School provided a strong academic foundation for my son. They taught him discipline, respect and showed him that he could achieve great things if he worked hard and believed in himself. Regent School helped him with his self-esteem and made him feel positive about earning good grades. I am happy to say that my son is a confident, independent, self-assured 5th grader because of the excellent staff at Regent.

Excellent school, great staff, wonderful principal and great academics. I can't think of anything else a parent could ask for from a school. Regent School, you guys really know how education should be done for our children. Thank you for all that you did for my daughter. She is now in her first year at Fordham University and I owe it all to the wonderful start she got at Regent School.

I am so pleased with my experience at Regent School that I don't know where to begin. The principal and staff are very professional and made me feel comfortable when I decided to send my son there. The teachers are strict and demanding which was exactly what I wanted for my child. Academically, Regent was challenging for my son but but he eventually did well and went on to a great middle school. I would just like to say thank you to everyone at Regent School for everything they did to make my son a success both in and out of school. Keep up the good work!!!!

I must admit that my daughter thoroughly enjoyed her seven years at Regent School. She started in kindergarten and has recently graduated from sixth grade. She was the valedictorian of her class and my entire family is extrememy proud of her. All of her accomplishments would not have been possible without the guidence and strong academic instruction she received at Regent. Regent is the best elementary school in the Bronx and I am proud to say that my daughter was a student there.

When I first applied to this school for my son, everyone was very helpful and nice. The school was awesome I was excited. I paid for the application and deposit. BUT... just before school started plans have changed and now my son is unable to attend the school. When I asked for an exception in receiving my deposit back or a least a portion they told me no and refused to work with me. Now I have to take a loss and deal with it. I'm now working on getting them to at least change their contracts to saying that if a child is unable to attend before school starts then the parent will receive at lease 70% of their depsoit back. If the child is attending for less than a month then the parent shall recieve 50% refund. If Colleges both STATE and PRIVATE can do it, then why can't this school do it.? while I clearly understand they do not want to take a loss. I feel it is a bit unfair to ask the parent to take a loss. If a portion is given back no one takes a loss. Still an overall good school, but PARENTS BEWARE OF DEPOSIT REQUIREMENTS!!

My name is Krystal and i graduated from Regent School in 2007. Reflecting back to the old days i remember all the fun times I had there. I learned so much while I was in Regent School, and it definitely reflects on my grades today. I am now going into the 11th grade and have been in honor classes since I left Regent School. After sixth grade, I moved to Florida, and missed out on seeing old teachers/staff. I had recently visited there and was welcomed with arms wide open, with joyful faces. At Regent School you don't just have memorable experiences, you develop many skills, receive a great education, and make wonderful friends.

My daughter has just completed her third year at Regent and, while we had some minor issues with bullying her first two years, I could not be happier with her progress. She originally went to Regent because she started kindergarten a year early and the public schools wouldn't have it. After 3 years, she is lightyears ahead of her public school peers. It's been the best fit for her and I'm looking forward to 4 more years there.

As an alum, I look back on Regent and see nothing but a great time. I was always greeted by friendly, helpful, dedicated staff and faculty members who made learning fun while pushing my classmates and me to work to the fullest of our potential, and then some. I graduated as Valedictorian there, and went on to excel through middle school; now, as I enter my junior year at a prestigious high school in the Bronx, I still reflect on my Regent experiences and how much they have helped me throughout the years.

My niece went to this school and she has learned so much. Thanks to the positive environment that the administration and teachers have created, the students become more positive overall. This in return enables the students to excel in academics as well as in extracurricular activities. I am so glad that my niece went to Regent School and am enrolling my daughter for the 2010-2011 school year.
