Eddy Elementary School is an excellent school with an inclusive, positive educational environment and a true sense of community. Our son has special needs and was struggling both academically and socially when he entered Eddy Elementary. From the start, the principal was very accessible, listened to our concerns and ensured that a talented team of teachers were in place to support his needs and help him succeed in school. While at Eddy Elementary, he has acquired many new skills and exhibited significant academic progress. With teacher support and encouragement, he has grown from initially being withdrawn, anxious, easily overwhelmed and not participating in classes into a more confident, successful, active participant in class across all school settings. We are convinced that his academic and personal growth are due in large part to the dedicated and talented teachers together with the well-planned, cohesive program developed and implemented by the school to address and support his areas of need. The entire school staff have gone above and beyond our expectations and have made a significant, positive impact on his growth, self-esteem and success.

Did not support our daughter (autism spectrum diagnosis); staff demonstrates concerning lack of knowledge of basic components of ASD and how to successfully support high functioning ASD students. Especially upsetting was their lack of concern over multiple bullying episodes “boys will be boys” and lack of action on this issue. Our child would run from class and we’d learn later it was triggered because she was partnered with the child bullying her. This happened multiple times. This school also seems to lack the culture and belief that inclusion is important and neurodiversity can be an asset. Very punitive and unwelcoming community in general. We’re very sad that this is the best our community can do. We have moved on because of the School's inability to provide a safe, inclusive environment, we just feel worried for those students with special needs that have to remain there. I would urge all parents of special need children to take a close look at this school and let the superintendent know how your experience has been. Hopefully this will finally bring the change that the children of our town deserve.

The school pretty good. They are doings repairs in side as well as a new play ground. They do a lot of field trips, most at the end of the year. There are some people that work there that are only there for the job, and some are there because they love teaching the kids. I have noticed some,of the teachers push for testing of ADD in kids who have a harder time focusing or paying attention which is very off key. Over all, the school is ok.

This is a very good school, I would say that every teacher here has good expectations of dealing with students and can deal with them and not lose their cool. Great school.

I went to Eddy Elementary School for Grade 5 and, it was great; the teachers are all very kind, the education standards are high and, everything a kid or parent or child could want is there. At Eddy Elementary School, the Math Class that you are in depends on your skill. This way, you can get your proper education in mathematics.
