My daughter has gone through a lot of changes and difficult life circumstances throughout her life and this school has gone above and beyond to help her feel loved and welcomed at school. She is excelling in her classes, she loves to read! There was a situation where she was being bullied by a classmate but the school handled it well. This other child and my daughter are now friends! Another thing is that when my daughter has a subject that she does not fully grasp, they go out of their way to sit with her on her lunch break. I absolutely love this school!

Lots of bulling and disrespect toward my child, and then toward me when I tried to do something about it.

I love this school! 2 out of my 3 kids have gone to this View Ridge. My oldest went to a few different elementary schools and they were awful. The all the staff are caring and love all the kids. The majority of the student body is low income, I've seen teachers spend a lot of their own money to make sure kids have everything they need. So much energy among the students since they moved to the Arts Academy. The kids and families all show up for plays and dance showcases, it's amazing to see.

My children have been going here for the last 2 years and it has been the worst experience I have ever had to deal with! The teacher and principle do NOT deal with bullying or harassment in an effective way! They allow the (chosen children) to belittle and bully other children. Bullying is a big issue here, I've talked to the principle and teachers countless times! Still no action!

View Ridge has some wonderful staff and teachers. My kids have had a great experience here. The office staff is very welcoming and helpful. The specialty teachers for music, P.E. and media are also really talented teachers who care about the kids. It's too bad Bremerton schools don't provide more P.E. and music. There are some awesome classroom teachers and some that didn't work as well with my kids, but I think that will happen at any school and changes from year to year.

My son is special needs and is treated very well at the school. He primarily spends his day in the mainstream classroom, but does spend time in the special class when needed. The teachers that I have dealt with have been great, and the principal is excellent. Plus there are a number of parent volunteers that are always courteous and kind. The PTA is very active in the school and puts on multiple events every year to help with social interaction.

I over all had a good time at viewridge. A 4th grade teacher was the worst teacher ever and I didn't learn ANYTHING from them. The music teacher is awsome! He's really engaging and wonderful. There were fun events like Field day and BOO Ridge (a halloween carnival), we went to camp in 4th grade and in 5th we had a swim party, etc. The school had good kids and I had fun there. Overall the teachers are average, but some shouldn't teach. I had an alright time there but the academics wasn't the best.
