My daughter's experience with Oak Meadow has been wonderful. She is "enrolled", meaning she submits her assignments to her teacher bi-weekly and receives extensive feedback on her assignments. I have been very impressed with the curriculum (middle school) and my daughter is loving it.

Our experience over the last two years has been excellent. Oak Meadow's model works brilliantly for our son. He has a superb teacher and the staff are incredibly helpful in an insightful way. I mostly like that both curriculum and teacher require him to think and foster his curiosity (while reinforcing and developing reading, writing and math, skills essential regardless of what a child does in life). Our son takes responsibility for staying on a schedule he's set for himself and has learned he likes to keep on top of his work. I believe that this model just might become more prevalent vs. elite private schools that, increasingly, are giving reams of homework, fueling unhealthy levels of stress, and turning students off of learning. I really like that as a homeschooling parent (who never had imagined being a homeschooling parent), there are teachers to explain and reinforce concepts to my son, take genuine interest in him, lead him to opportunities outside the courses, and also manage the testing, evaluation and transcripts so that I can still be the "mom." I have only top reviews but would recommend that anyone considering Oak Meadow understand the model and the ways it differs from private and public schooling today. As with anything, make sure it fits your child. The quality of everything is top notch.

This school uses Saxon Math at the high school level......by far the best math program around. It is a homeschool program. When you homeschool, the teacher support is really just for the accredited transcript and guidance. You, the parent are the child's primary teacher. Thus, this is not a school, but rather an independent learning program.The curriculum k-8 is creative and parent intensive. At the high school level, it becomes more challenging and independent of the parent.My child's ITBS scores shot through the roof when I started homeschooling. You can't beat it:)

terrible. not worth the money. disrespectful staff. poor leadership. Great schools just gave a message to write more... therefore, this is a terrible waste of money for a copycat curricula. Stern Center evaluation revealed my child was waaaay deficient as a result of this "school".

It's homeschooling, not a neighborhood school. Check their completion rate. The number of students is self reported. Other places it lists 600 students.
