My children were both at this school, 1 had no social emotional support and often was alone. The other had special Ed which when we moved to this school was abusive and terrible for my daughter so much so I moved across the country to get her into a better school. Do not put your child with disabilities in this school unless you don't care about there education. I wish I could give zero stars just a horrible institution.

I Completed WIS In 2022, Some Teacher's were awesome, However some seem just to be there for money. I especially didnt like the Principal, Instead of bringing the school towards, She Brought it backwards.

I sent my boy here from private schools. This school is so infeferior to a private school. The teachers do not care. They collect their salaries and don't care about individualizing educational experiences. They do not respond to emails. I wad so afraid to send my son to public school in Branford, and now I know why. This school is disgusting. No help with any areas of concern . Lazy guidance counselor's and nothing but excuses. Their is a reason public education stinks. My son will never step foot in another public school. The teachers are lazy, and don't respond to emails. I am ashamed I pulled my boy out of private school because I thought Walsh would help him. My friend who is a reading specialist in Branford warned me. I will do what I have to to warn other private school parents not to send their kids to public school. What a terrible mistake I made with my 8th grader. God forgive me.

In all honesty this school was a joke. I Graduated here 2 years ago so stuff may have changed but here ya go. Half the teachers are here for a paycheck and don't care how good their students do. The curriculum is pointless and will never be useful in the real world. There is no discipline or action taken towards anything. Air quality is poor and unsafe and nothing has been done. Open classroom environment is stupid and distracting. Nothing really good goes on here. If your reading this and can relate don't feel alone. Also if your looking to go here don't it will ruin your life. All of Branford schools is a joke and I left it for private school for a better future

My daighter is a 7th grader at Walsh. I find it a little concerning that this page would be the "homrpage" reference. Obviously a few disgruntled former students are expressing their angst here. Not a good first impression as a parent. Altough my daughters grades have been a's and b's i feel that she is not being challenged enough. The report cards are vague and filled with stock statements, i.e. "Works well with others, participates in most class discussions, etc. I hope the IT staff takes note that for prospective students, this site is the first one they see when searching this achool and makes changes to better represent the school as a whole

I went here and didn't enjoy it. I was bullied and never got any help from guidance or the principal if your having a problem like this don't expect them to help you. Much of the curriculum taught at this school was poor. The math is common core and doesn't make sense at all. My teacher now tells me what I learned here was a joke. Just everything here was a joke. I would say to try to do good but don't take it so seriously. The open classroom environment is weird and hard to deal with. The dances at the school are expensive and not worth the money so don't go. All of public school was a bad experience for me and I decided to transfer to private school I hope you all do the same.

My 11 year old daughter goes to this school and last year she had many bullying issues. She went to her guidance conseler and this fixed her problem. I am very pleased because the year before that she was still in elementary school and the same problem occurred. No teacher helped.

As a former student, i still resent having attended this school. Rampant bullying, favoritism, and a vice principal that did nothing about it. Special ed program very very lacking. The school was not safe, and should be condemned. No security!! Not what you would expect out of a small town school.
