Teachers ensure that their students are comfortable in the learning environment, while also maintaining their focus to drive academic excellence. If and when students are being bullied or harassed, teachers always make sure to reach out to parents, or provide them with the proper support. They also make sure to provide students with their after school office hours in case students need extra help. This is extremely helpful as some students may struggle in class. This is a great way for students to get a better understanding and grasp of the material. Students have many opportunities to learn, grow, and develop success. The school offers many extracurricular activities such as sports and clubs; if students do not like the current clubs that are on-going, students have the option to their desire to create their own clubs that interests them. Students have so many gateways to success and to be involved with their peers here at Braintree High School.

I graduated in 2011, and at the time I did not think much of the school one way or the other.. I was caught up in my little bubble of life. Looking back on the experience now, however, it was a wonderful school and I was given the opportunity to have a top notch education at a public school. AP classes were offered and allowed me to push my limits, plenty of clubs and extra-curricular activities were offered. The music program was a huge part of developing who I am today as a person. I was absolutely set up for success and surrounded by teachers that cared about their students.

I graduated from Braintree High in 2017, and I am happy to say that I had some of the best years of my life at this school. The school has prepared us so well to be successful in any field that we choose to approach, especially for the STEM field, which is what I am studying in college. The teachers are extremely supportive and are always willing to help when you are struggling with a subject. The guidance counselors were also very helpful in making the college application process so much easier than it could have been. It is alos super easy to get involved here and find the right people to hang out with, and as long as you mind your own business, all the other students here are usually pretty chill and you won't have to worry about bullying issues. My only criticism of this school would be that the physical building is kind of deteriorating (rats running amuck, hallways constantly being closed for asbestos treatment, lights sometimes don't work properly, etc.). Overall, great experience, and would definitely do it over in a heartbeat if I could.

Im a student at BHS, I can tell you it is absolutely one of the worst school in the south shore. I’m not sure what the school does with it’s money but everything is outdated and gross. The bathroom is just plain out disgusting. They do not update anything! Just go down to the locker room and it looks like a third world country. Who’s ever in charge really needs to invest some money to the school, like get a paint job. Also the school is incredibly greedy. It cost me $15 to go to homecoming, yet there was nothing special about it. There was a DJ and a place where you can take your own picture but other than that there was really no need for that high price. The fact that you had to buy your water which cost a dollar and snacks which also cost shows how crazy it is. I’m just wondering where the money goes to, because I haven’t seen really any improvements. Another thing I want to point out is that the teachers are great, they are reallly supportive, and that’s what matters really. My last thing I want to say is that the school environment is terrible, coming from a household of 3 people who go to HS, we each have to reach the bus at 7am, that’s just ridiculous time, I mean we have a single bathroom, thus there’s little time to get ready and NO time to eat breakfast. Also there’s just no socialising, you have zero time to speak with freinds in school, you have a locker, yet the time between classes are like 5 minutes and ontop of that there’s a a lot of teachers who say that the bell doesn’t dismiss you, but teachers do, they also make up very stupid rules like you can only use the bathroom 3 times in the entire school year!! How do you expect me to get from class to locker then bathroom then go up a floor to another classroom, I mean it’s just plain out ridiculous and the school really needs to have a huge major change.

BHS teachers are amazing. The classes are tiered for the student's academic level, and the AP classes(Adv. Honor) are awesome for the college prep. All BPS grading system is through the website where parents and students could access from home. The only downside of the school is the building condition. The HS building is quite dated and much need of repair. Moreover, there is a pool project that is being delayed every year. Students and teachers are making the best out of the place, however, the town of Braintree should step up and make a better use of the tax money to improve this school.

Teachers are great. They actually care about the students. Very high test scores, and the students care about academic excellence and athletic excellence.
