The best school in the Panhandle region. The administration cares for both students and teachers. Discipline is very good. Teachers have a lot of freedom which is a big blessing.

An excellent school for students and staff. The teachers want the students to be successful beyond the classroom and a test score. The teachers truly care about the students and provide a professional and positive learning atmosphere. This starts from our administration, who is always striving to provide the best for its students, faculty, and staff.

This is a great school for your child. It starts at the top, the administration is second to none. They go over and above to make sure your child is safe and has a direction for their future. The teachers really care and put forth the effort to make sure the kids succeed not only in test scores but in the classroom. This is a top notch school!!!

I love BHS and BISD! The principals are fantastic and do their best to meet student's needs. AP and college courses are great. I think it's fantastic, too, that if on the right track a student can graduate high school with their Associates college degree already completed.

Borger High School is just great. There are so many opportunities for the students to excell, plenty of college courses to help towards their college career if wanted and the teachers do care!

This is truly an outstanding school! My daughter attends school here and has more opportunities than many 5A schools. Excellent staff and administration and many hours offered through Frank Phillips College.

Borger High School has far exceeded my expectations when we moved here a year and a half ago. My daughter transferred from a well respected school in the Metroplex, and I was concerned about her reactions. She loves it at BHS. The academic programs, especially the tie in with Frank Phillips, give students many options regarding their education, some of which are in the industrial trades which I find to be a good thing.

We have loved this school with our son that just graduated. Would not change a thing...

They have now dropped all French classes and the decent Spanish teacher is teaching ESL at the grade-school. They finally fired the Pre AP biology teacher and several Pre AP history teachers that should have never been hired in the first place, much less had their contracts renewed after the first year! Some of the Pre AP teachers moved to the local community college where they continue teaching in a lacklustre manner. The English department is a disaster. Reading essays for a local contest was painful... the students have not been taught how to write well. The only decent math teacher is so bitter about still being up there (unable to get a job in another district) that she has a condescending sour attitude that has ruined her ability to effectively teach. They require the freshman to declare a "track" and force them to take only the classes offered for that area of focus. College bound seniors have a hard enough time declaring majors their freshman year....now a 13-14 year old has to decide? If you accept a job in Borger, consider living in Amarillo where your children can attend a better school and you commute to work...

We looked at all of the schools in the area. We picked Borger High School because of their high test scores on the state tests and how many college classes that they offer.
