I really don’t understand all the negative reviews. My son loves Omni and has never been so happy! Omni has amazing teachers who truly care about their students. They send out emails informing/updating parents on the students academics and respond emails very quickly. They also have zero tolerance against bullying. My son has never been bullied. At first I was hesitating to let my son go to Omni, now I realize that you need to have your own experience and don’t believe everything others say.

Well, I guess I am not the only one who has had a terrible experience with this school. My son came from thriving being homeschooled, to basically failing. There is so much bullying, violence, and 0 resources for the students. They are severely understaffed and I signed my son up for multiple different electives and they just kept him in PE forever. I call and email and get no response. The teachers do not communicate with me about how my son is doing. They had a special counselor for my son for basically 1 week and never kept up with it. They waste their time on little things like a student not moving their seat instead of focusing on the real issues like racism and bullying. I regret taking my son out of homeschooling to come to this disgraceful place.

I am in 7th grade and the teachers, students, and staff are out of control. The communication between teachers, staff, and parents is horrible. If you/ your child is good at socializing, have tough skin, and are good at defending themselves physically, they will be fine. But if they are anti-social, get offended easily, and are weak physically, this is the wrong school for you. Most teachers are chill, though. Good luck.

I was a student from 2006-2008. This school ruined my life. The constant bullying caused me to develop severe social anxiety and depression that I still deal with to this day. I dreaded going to school and my grades suffered until I moved away from Boca Raton.

Omni Middle School has the same issues as every school in America. I have found the teachers to be great and very supportive. The key is if you're a parent don't rely on the teachers to do everything. Don't assume all learning (both Social and Academic) is on staff and administration. Teach your child at home in a way that reinforces what the teachers are doing in school. Encourage your child to be kind to others. Give real consequences for actions Be it poor performance academically or socially. Get involved in your child's life and stop blaming others for what is happening to them. Hold yourself and your child responsible. Work with the teachers. School to home connections are important yet so often forgotten.

Not a great school! Bullying etc is horrible here or at least was a few years back

It's not perfect, but I might have been lucky with my teachers. I do witness slight bullying in the hallways, but usually in a joking way. There are some teachers that treat their students like garbage, but again, it might be the students fault. Overall, it's an ok experience.

Schools these days are rough and staff are hardly appreciated unfortunately but I think Omni could really address some major issues with bullying, smoking on campus, and trying to protect/help ESE students and not openly blame them or yell at them in front of these other kids. Please try to keep addressing the fights and remove the perpetrator from the school not the defenseless child. It sends the wrong message. Let teachers step in and protect kids and others.

The integrity and reputation of this school has gone down the drain over the past couple of years.

This school has scared me and family and my special needs student for life! The bullying is out of control both in class and on buses! My special needs student has been choked in a head lock kicked in his privates harrassed on the bus from day one at Omni!!! The administration has not done their jobs! Teachers dont care and dont communicate! There has been a code red lock down for student bringing a weapon to school! Video of special needs student being held down and punched in his face as he screams! This school is a nightmare for special needs kids and their families! Do not send your children to Omni

Good public school. Absolutely disagree with all negative comments. Safe environment. Teachers are really responsive and helpful. Home work could be done in one-two hours.

    1. My child loves school, never misses and does her work to maintain her 4.0 but that doesn't count as the school doesn't think they have an obligation to ensure kids safety and to address the bullying by this driver Mr. Craig/Greg!

Very good in many aspects. My daughter is now on 7th grade and she loves the school, teachers and staff. I’ll definitely very satisfied with that. Look forward to see how my son will be doing when is time for him to be there.

0, this school needs a major overhall, starting with most of the staff. These children do what they want and the teachers get away with watching tv on their phones and texting. I expect my child to get some sort of lesson while in class, instead it is lazy, checked out teachers sitting back waiting to retire.

During the first week of school I got a call from the 6th grade AP to tell me that my son was physically attacked. The AP let me know right away that my son did nothing wrong. I spoke to the counselor several times but never heard back from the AP. Four weeks later when my husband sent an email and I left a frustrating voice mail I finally got a call back. When I questioned them what was done about the situation I was rudely told that they are not obligated to tell me what kind of disciplen is given to other kids if any. All it would have taken was a phone call to tell me that the situation was handled. After that there was many problems on the bus that one day the bus did not drop the kids off. Instead the driver had to turn around and bring the kids back to the school because of fighting on the bus. No call was made to the parents. After that my son had another problem in gym (where he tells me there are constant fights in the locker room). After I heard from my son I called the school and they told me that with out even discussing with me, they changed my son’s class. When I questioned why, they told me straight out that my son did nothing wrong and rather than remove the problem, they changed my son. Ok fine. Not even 2 weeks later there was another situation between my son and a group of kids. He was given in house suspension which I’m completely fine with if he deserved it. He said he was only defending himself but I have no way to clarify that with because I never received a call from faculty. I told him to do the suspension and to try to avoid these kids. If my son didn’t come home and tell me of this altercation and punishment, I would have never known there was another issue. They ignore all bullying problems and try to sweep everything under the rug. I wish I read all these other reviews before sending my child there. His academics have improved because of the quality of the teachers however the administration is a joke.

Very good in many respects. Teachers are superb. Leadership is excellent. I have always found that teachers in the American public educational system are often not well versed in child psychology. It is difficult to set up appointments and communicate with teachers on a one to one basis. They are brutally underpaid, overworked , and unsupported. Our children are our greatest asset. We are not investing wisely.

I advocate for this school on a daily basis. As a parent of a 8th grader and 3 years in this school, My daughter has excelled academically more than I could have ever expected. She does not have " gifted papers" . Socially she has her group of friends, but that's not what I look for in a school. I look for Academics. Omni has proved the teachers are capable of that above and beyond, my daughter is more than ready for high school . I have another child entering 6th grade next year, the options were open. I would not look anywhere else but OMNI MIDDLE , as I know my child will be more than challenged. Every school has it's issues, but I would not ever doubt sending my children to the BEST middle school in our area. This is why I moved here.
