No family engagement, teachers are not excited and interested on teaching! Zero communication with parents, even in Class Dojo, they take forever to answer . The administration is the same, don’t solve problems between kids as they should and there is no communication with parents.

Great school with great leadership. There is a push for every kid to not only be able to read, but to love to read! Lots of family engagement and a wonderful sense of community.

This school is great. My oldest is now a Middle schooler and thriving and my youngest is still attending. We have spent the last 8 years at JCM and we could not have been more pleased. They loved going to school and the teachers and support staff are phenomenal. I don't understand the previous comment of a parent that they only have ESE kids. Absolutely not true!! This school is fantastic all the teachers are great and supportive. Go check out the school and judge for yourself. I would highly recommend this school.

This school is for Ese students, 8-10 students with disabilities in a class. Engagement and culture is only with ese !!! If you are ok kid- no help, they create all around autism in a classroom. My son was suffering too much! They have all disability kids around which made trauma to my son. That is why their scores is so low!No normal kids!!!

My son started Kindergarten in the midst of the craziest year ever. JC Mitchell Elementary School was very organized through the whole process and has continued to be a great learning environment in spite of the obstacles. The class sizes are good, the principal and staff are transparent, and they all seem to genuinely care about your child academically and personally. They take pride in making school an environment for all children and staff to feel safe and accepted. They encourage positive character traits and qualities and make sure students that exemplify them are noticed. It's been a wonderful first year in elementary school even with the craziness they had to endure and work around. The way they managed to run during the most difficult of times says a whole lot to me!

We love this school! The teachers are terrific. As parents we like that teachers challenge the kids academically, while they are simultaneously caring and helpful. A big thank you to Mrs. Houle, Ms. Birnbaum and Mrs. Brader! Phenomenal teachers. During the pandemic we began with virtual learning but are now doing in person learning. We are fortunate (grateful) that the school pivoted nicely to in person learning and has effectively handled the situation. Some individual categories: Teachers- See remarks above. The teachers are terrific! The student to teacher ratio is excellent with class size ranging from 12-16 students. Character- the school develops character well. They teach numerous units yearly on integrity, character, confidence building, kindness, and address bullying. Bottom line- my husband and I are very happy with JCM.

The school is outstanding. It received the Golden School award in 2019 & 2020. It is an “A” rated school. The staff is caring, and smart. It’s the kind of school where much of the staff attended the school as children and returned to teach. My child adores the art teacher which happens to also teach art classes at the Boca Art Museum. One music teacher is also in a band and performs locally. The music class performs a show at the local Barnes & Noble. The schools garden teaches the kids about gardening and growing fruits and vegetables. My child has been at the school for 3 years and loves it. We’ve known lots of neighborhood children that attend the school and the parents appreciate the dedicated, engaged teachers and staff. It’s a great school and I’d recommend it!

I love this school. It has been amazing for my daughter. She has learned a tremendous amount of information each year. She is challenged by her teachers to push herself just a little bit harder. The administration actually cares about the students and strives to call each child by their first name when seen in the morning. Whenever you need something to assist your child with a situation they are dealing with the staff are there to help. The teachers are knowledgeable and very effective. I can't say enough about JCM.

Child pickup situation is chaotic and dangerous...hour long waits are the norm. School doesn't seem to care about the safety of the kids waiting outside for up to an hour in the intense Florida August afternoons of 100+ heat index. I witnessed two near accidents in the road out front. Schools should be about safety first. Not at J.C. Mitchell.

All of my daughters have attended this school. The teachers are very caring and highly qualified. It is truly a gem. Why pay for private school?

I'm a grandparent of a fabulous four year old boy who happens to be autistic. He's in the pre k program there. If I could give 10 stars to the staff there I would. He has made amazing strides in language and social skills the past seven months. He loves going to school and loves his teachers. You couldn't possibly pay enough to get any better care and results. My only complaint is with the Palm Beach County school system that makes it so hard to get a child in the program, in spite of the fact that they are obligated by law to provide these services to children from age three. That part is a nightmare but not the responsibility of the specific school. I'm surprised that they haven't been sued for their lack of responsiveness and adherence to the law!
