While I believed in this school when we started here, the administration’s unprofessional and tactless way of managing a business and even more so, families who have supported this school for years, is beyond horrendous. About 75% of the entire administration is related to the owner Jeanne. While this may seem to be comforting to know your school has a family approach and environment, it is a cold harsh awakening when your concerns and opinions with the aides, teachers, anyone become ammunition to be used against you and your family. The communication and lack of transparency is a pattern withadministration and unfortunately their only way of “dealing” with parents and families is to literally kick your child out of the school. Countless families have been kicked out. Not to mention there is a reason why the camera access is extremely limited now to a couple of hours. Parents saw with their own eyes what was happening in the classrooms and how things were being handled. I believe in Montessori but I highly recommend saving your resources, energy and well being by finding a more suited positive and educational environment.

My child has been a part of the Emerging Minds school for many years and we have had an amazing experience! The staff is caring and professional and the administrative team is supportive of my child and my family. My child has excelled beyond what I imagined. The school fosters student independence and growth and we look forward to continuing with the school through 8th grade!

The head of the school is unprofessional which trickles down into the rest of the administration staff unfortunately (they are also all related btw). Some of the teachers are good but given the environment there is a TON of turnover from the staff. Teachers leave mid-year, over the summer, etc. This clearly disrupts learning and leads to less stability for the children. There is a huge lack of communication. Also, I think there is an investigation undergoing at the school presently. Some parents have been asked to sign NDA agreements and dismissed from the school without explanation for asking questions/wanting answers. Half the good reviews on google/social media are from their own family or employees.

After moving to Florida, we tried two other preschools briefly before landing at Emerging Minds Montessori Academy. It came highly recommended from a professional colleague in education whose judgement I trust. We were not disappointed! We're currently in our fifth year, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about this school. My son started here in the toddler room and is now in 1st grade in the Lower Elementary classroom, and I have a daughter starting there this fall. The teachers are outstanding, the staff is fantastic, and the school just attracts the nicest kids and parents. They've really created something special here -- an environment that is warm, loving, fun and engaging, and filled with truly happy kids who have developed an intrinsic love for learning. It is definitely academically oriented and challenging, but it is child-led and at their own pace. Emerging Minds is the real deal as far as truly authentic Montessori (AMS member) schools go. I love that they go up to 8th grade and continue the mixed-age classroom and Montessori method of teaching.

Parents beware, read the contract before you sign, you will pay no matter what happens. During the covid-19 school was closed and offer less than one hour of online teaching and I still had to paid full tuition or be sent to collections.My child did one month of online learning and it was useless, then we sent EMMS an email stating that our child would not be attending the online class, still we got charged. I was unemployed during this pandemic and the school shows no sympathy or compassion.

Highly recommend EMMA to parents looking for an alternative education for their child. If you’re looking to depart from the prison-like campuses of public school where parent involvement is discouraged and children are expected to sit in desks all day and memorize test-driven curriculum, then Montessori school is for you. Children here are respected as full humans. They are permitted to drink water or use the bathroom as needed. Lessons are done sitting on carpets or chairs. Lunch is calm and quiet, older students dine with real silverware and linens. Recess is lengthy and in a beautiful natural wooded playground. Parents are welcome and encouraged to get involved. EMMA is a community, not just a school.

The upper elementary teachers are very disorganized, and overwhelmed, and did not take the time to learn and tailor to my child's true academic level. They would withhold recess from my child for not finishing work on time, which is not really a "Montessori" principle. Communication with parents is extremely lacking.

Emma has exceeded our expectations. The teachers are amazing Miss Jeannie, Miss Saradha, Miss Amber, Miss Rebecca, Miss Maggie and Miss Irene, and Miss Barb in the office. We love that they want the families to be involved in the school. Both my kids were reading and doing addition before heading off to kindergarten. It's been great watching our children flourish while attending Emerging Minds Montessori.

My daughter starting attending EMMA last July. When we started she was not a big talker and we were worried. She was very much a to herself child. Fast forward 1 year and she has done a complete 180. She is very out going, LOVES her teachers, I mean loves them. She is reading (started last year at age 3!) Coming from a daycare environment I knew this would be the perfect fit. The Montessori approach is child focused and because of that my daughter has more confidence and can be herself! They are phenomenal with their curriculum and their nurturing which is what any parent wants. It's like she has her second family there. If you have concerns for your child, they are "introvert" or not "listening" which could be perceived as a learning disability, give them a shot. They encourage these children. My daughter has changed for the good so quickly and dramatically thanks to their assistance. Parents actually call my daughter the cruise director of the class!

Emerging Minds Montessori Academy has exceeded all of my expectations. They provide a safe, caring, family atmosphere that allows your child thrive. My oldest daughter attended this year for VPK and her younger sister will be attending next year. I am very impressed by the teachers and staff and the knowledge and passion for learning that is passed on to the students. I have seen my daughter's self-confidence and love for learning blossom and could not be happier with our experience at Emerging Minds. I highly recommend this school.

Emerging Minds Montessori is a truly wonderful school. My child is in a safe, nurturing environment that promotes community and independence. I I have had the pleasure of observing the classroom on several occasions and love to see how engaged and present the children are while working on their lessons. The teachers and staff deeply care about the children in their school. I would recommend this great school.

Too many kids in one class and even though that's the way it usually is in Montessori, not all kids get the attention they need from teachers. Kids end up mostly learning from their peers. Miss. Jeanne is great. Just need more teachers like her.

This is a wonderful school. My daughter spent her preschool days her and kindergarden. The teacher are very loving, caring and understanding with all the different needs of the children. My daughter is now in 1st grade and she still asks if she can go back to Miss Jeannie's class at least 2 times a week. It provides a fabulous learning environment. I have and will continue to recommend this school highly.

Best kept secret in Boca!! This school is truly the best in Boca. The small family like environment mixed with the love for learning is perfect for my son. He loves it! My Son wants to go to school even on weekends. I am so happy that I finally found a school I am comfortable with. Teachers truly care about every single child's well-being and education. I highly recommend this school.

If you have been searching for a great school you have finally found it! EMMA provides a small family environment with a true Montessori curriculum where individual differences are valued and encouraged and working at your own pace is the norm. The teachers are amazing, warm, carrying, compassionate, and understanding to each childes individual needs. They promote an eagerness for learning and motivate the children s critical thinking skills as well as love for the arts and other scholastic disciplines. You will see improvements in your child s speech, independence, and academic readiness after attending only for a short time. EMMA is exceeded our expectations and we are very happy that our child is able to attend a school that is as highly recommend as EMMA!

This school is truly wonderful! My son is enrolled in there VPK program - We love Ms. Jeanne she has been great with my son. This school provides a small family like environment and the montessori curriculum. This was our first experience with montessori and our daughter will be going here when she is old enough it is a remarkable program. Emerging Minds has exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend Emerging Minds Montessori Academy- it is a wonderful school.
