When you first move here at the surface they appear to have their stuff together. But if you dig a little deeper you find that the kids run the school. There is no accountability, the superintendent is under qualified and doesn't know how to run a business, they can't keep coaches and run off their staff. They turn over numerous amount of teacher's yearly (more than the other schools in the area by 4 times) and blame it on the pay but the drugs are a problem. Their is a high poverty rate and with that comes drugs and ignorance. The teacher's that are there have a fear of losing their jobs because the administration does not back them. They have not mopped or cleaned the school all semester. They have very dirty facilities. There is a big problem with parent theft in fundraising and the superintendent does nothing to address. They have had indictments for parent theft. The talented kids and the educated families move out. That is how it has always been. Bridge Creek is for you if you like to mingle with poverty and drugs.

Bridge Creek really does it right! The Superintendant, Principles, Teachers and Support Staff really care and are involved. They know the issues and genuinely lead their schools. They care about the kids, they know the kids and they never miss the opportunity to greet you and share their feedback on your children. You can tell by witnessing them in action they are engaged and not the type to sit behind a desk. They are out and about in the hallways and talking to people and when you bring an issue to their attention, they solve it. They set the tone for the environment in their schools and they ensure its positive.
