We love the Ditson. It is a very positive learning environment and there is a lot of energy and pride at this school. The kids are encouraged to "Be the Best you can Bee!" and it really shows. We've had fantastic teachers that work well with parents to promote a great experience. I volunteer in the school and there is a lot of parent involvement at the Ditson. As a former educator myself, and now as a parent, I can say that the Ditson can claim a great administration, teachers, and learning environment.

I have two children with very different learning needs and abilities. The Ditson family of teachers and staff have worked hard to provide extra help for my now middle school daughter who struggled with reading compression. Given her excessive energy and need for extra help with focus and reading the teachers took extra time repeat instructions and provide us with study ideas to keep her on track. she is doing well in middle school because of the preparation they provided. My third grade boy has an easier time with focus and study but still finds the projects fun and challenging even though he breezes through the homework. He had a speech IEP during kindergarten and pet of first grade. The extra help during that critical time helped him advance past his delays and now is a much better speaker and out loud reader.

Ditson School students love their school! The teachers and principal (Mr. Downing) are extremely committed to learning, while the DSA helps plan fun activities to ensure the kids have the little extras that make learning fun through fundraising and DSA sponsored events. The "it takes a village" approach provides Ditson children with the best environment to explore their interests, develop their strengths and put in place a firm foundation for their continued education and success!
