We have been beyond thrilled with the care and education both of our kids have received at Nia House. It's hard for me to know where to begin. My first child is a 2020 baby, and it felt like a huge leap for us to start her in childcare. From the moment I set foot in the school, I couldn't have felt more confident in our decision. Every aspect of Nia House from the physical environment to the way teachers speak to the children is utterly thoughtful. The teachers are deeply knowledgable about development and about helping each unique child find their place in the community. The teachers and staff have also been extremely supportive of my husband and I as parents and have offered guidance and advice when we've run into challenges at home. I feel incredibly lucky to have Nia House as a partner in raising my kids!

I only wish they had an elementary school. It's sad to think that our last child will have to leave Nia House soon. It has been a home for our kids and our family since we sent our son there nearly 7 years ago.

We cannot say enough positive about Nia House. Since our daughter started almost a year ago in the toddler room at 20 months of age, we have been immersed in the NH family with care and support. This center provides the highest standard of early childhood education through the Montessori principles of care for self, care for others, and care for the environment. Our daughter has formed trusting relationships with multiple adults, clearly communicates her needs and wants at a early age through verbal communication, and has learned to self-advocate and problem solve independently at an advanced level. Our family is daily grateful for the care and education we all receive from the loving and dedicated educators at Nia House Learning Center. f

Nia House is an amazing place !! The teachers and staff are really well-trained, incredibly thoughtful, smart and loving. Because of their scholarship program, it is socio-economically diverse/mixed in a way that is rarer than it should be. But most importantly, our son has grown in so many ways in his time there (in his ability to express himself, in what he can do, in how he relates to other children and adults) and seems genuinely happy to be at Nia. We joined Nia in part because literally every parent who had contact with the place raved about it, and many months later we absolutely agree !!

Nia House is an excellent preschool. The more I have sent my daughter to Nia House the more I am blown away by how incredible it is. Even small things that I wouldn't have even have thought to want in a preschool - they have. My daughter has been attending Nia House for a year. She is a social and curious little one. The school environment has met her needs and met my needs as a parent. It is so well-run, highly communicative and the staff truly cares about the children and are so mindful about the details concerning them. I send her to school knowing she is in a safe place. The staff are also mindful about healthy foods and creating an environment that will foster independence - but not in some weird way but in an empowering way and other values that are important to me. My daughter is now one of the oldest children in the toddler class and I am seeing how the school is really fostering leadership skills and kindness. I also saw that when my daughter went through a period of time that she was biting the school placed no blame on her but looked at what could be the circumstances that were creating biting. The staff has excellent communication skills and honors children's too! I highly highly recommend. Get on the waiting list as soon as you can!

Nia House Learning Center is a Safe-haven for children. We have been apart of the Nia House family for 2 years now. My 4 y/o son loves his teachers and his friends. We are very happy with everything that Nia House provides. It is a very loving and caring environment, wouldn't be happier anywhere else.

Nia House has been amazing school for both of our children and for our whole family. When I first discovered Nia House, I was drawn to the large, open play yard, kind teachers and diverse student body. I still love those things and so much more. I feel like the teachers are real partners with my husband and I in preparing our children for the world. Both of our kids, very different in personality and learning styles, have blossomed at Nia House under the warm guidance of the teachers, their fellow students and the larger community. I couldn't recommend Nia House more highly and I'm filled with such gratitude that we've been able to give our kids such a wonderful start through this experience.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Nia House. I sent both of my daughters here, the younger one started when she was 18 months. The staff are among the most thoughtful and caring group of educators I can imagine. When we started at Nia House, we were newly back to the Bay Area and instantly felt like we had a wonderful community to which our family belonged. Be sure to get on the waitlist as soon as you're pregnant because spots fill up quickly.

An amazing community of families. The teachers are outstanding and caring. It's one of the few schools that has over 40 years of history and to which alumni bring their own children to! Although it can be pricey they do offer scholarships to eligible families.
