The community is bad and not friendly

After beginning a part of the middle school community I know how dedicated every facilitator is to success, support and safety. Students here are learning for teachers who have been dedicated to their subject for ten or more years. Teachers call us their family. I feel safe and I am having fun learning in many different ways. In 8th grade my teachers talked about transitioning to high school and made lots of effort to get us ready. Our counselors know us all and our administration is quick to change things that aren’t working the best way possible. I wish everyone in Bend could experience our Sky View family.

Sky View has been an amazing school for my 3 kids. Staff is invested and works hard to make sure all students are included.

This schools is terrible. Although there are a few diamonds in the school; the rest of the administration and lack of care for the students makes this school one to avoid if you can.

Pretty good. Most teachers are good at explaining things, although not the math.

Sky View is awesome and probably one of the best schools I have ever been to.

Skyview is an AMAZING school! The kids are great, the staff is wonderful, and the principal has absolutely no tolerance for bullying. They expect the children that go to school here to be respectful, motivated, and helpful to others. My son has gone here for 2 years and will be attending his 8th grade year at Skyview also and ANYTIME he has needed any help with school work his teachers have gone above and beyond to help him. As far as homework goes I believe they give exactly the same amount as any middle school does, especially in preparing these children for high school. That is just ignorance speaking. My son is a straight A student and he has to work at it and thats how it should be.

I give this school a thumbs down. My student always comes home with to much homework and says the teacher never explains it. I've personally meet the teachers before and they were nice, but I can see how he would not get things. Personally I think if your sending your child to middle school, do not pick Sky View.

Earned Oregon's top rating, "Outstanding" on the 2009-10 Oregon Department of Education State School Report Card. Only 37% of Oregon schools earned the same rating statewide.
