Hi My son is a student and requires Special Education Services. I was pleasantly surprised and pleased at the teachers, staff and support from HDESD.I think you have to come in and really work with people as everyone these days is stressed. Teachers have a tough job, and there is a lot of negative postings if things don't go exactly as you want. In our case, we felt they have gone above and beyond for us and we are truly grateful to be at this school.

Not thrilled with Silver Rail. The leadership is a joke when it comes to kids with special needs.

We moved to Bend at the beginning of the 2016-2017 school year as my children were entering 1st grade. One of my children was struggling academically and his teacher was extremely supportive during the school year. Working together we were able to bring most of his grades up from a level 2 to a level 3. I am grateful for this school and it's teachers.

We moved to Bend at the end of the 2015-16 school year, transferring in our 2nd grader for the remainder of the year. Teachers and staff were friendly, helpful, and aided in a smooth transition for our daughter. This year, for 3rd grade, we are absolutely loving Silver Rail. They provide a fun, caring, and safe atmosphere for the students and have created in my daughter a deep passion for learning! Her teacher this year is wonderful, and does a fantastic job communicating with parents. We could not be happier with this school!
