This school is the most amazing little school and I consider us blessed to be able to have our children attend here. The teachers are caring, talented and the small class sizes allow each student to receive individual attention and instruction to meet them at the level that they are at. An amazing counseling team helps students that might need additional support as well. I have never doubted that my children receive the absolutely best experience and education at Stove Prairie. I wish we could convince the district to open a middle school here as well!

Stove prairie is the best, we bend over backwards to keep our son in this school. The individual attention our son gets he would never get in a bigger school. He gets special help with reading and extra 1 on 1 time. The community is so special. I wish it went through middle school.

Stove Prairie embodies something greater than just a school- it is a place of togetherness, of support. A safe space for children and parents alike- a real and true community. Rooted in the mountains and a part of the Mountain Schools within PSD, our children get to experience education in a truly unique environment. Individualized education is truly highlighted where classroom sizes are incidentally small- I am amazed that more parents don't choice in to this absolute gem of a school. The teachers are incredibly qualified, and most have been a part of the teaching team long term- their dedication and passion for the school and their students is astounding. Many go above and beyond their duties as teachers and guides- they are advocates, allies, and at the end of the day, family. Living in a rural community presents it's own unique differences, and this school is a beacon of the mountains.

We've been at Stove Prairie since pre-school. Every single teacher at this school is AMAZING and cares deeply about the students. The low student to teacher ratio is unparalleled in the district and the mountain surroundings are nothing short of magical year round. Highly recommend!

As a former 5th grade teacher, i cannot say enough positives and superlatives about this school. Low drama, excellent education, high moral fiber, and positive experiences from the students! I am so lucky to call this school my kiddos home!

Some devoted staff. Beautiful setting. The lack of social opportunities for families living in the remote area has resulted in the school functioning as a community center rather than student centered. The PTO functions as a private club, not a healthy one. They run the school like it was a town. Families are often shunned. Academics are fudged at times to better support students low scores to protect feelings. Not so sure that is a good thing. Would like to see a much harder focus on academics given the small number of students. There is a lack of participation in the Fort Collins school events such as Lego Robotics, Odyessy of the Mind, clubs.. Instead events revolve around any opportunity for the area parents to have something to do during the day/be at the school.
