Summit has been a wonderful experience for my 8th grader who said all the kids are nice?! His teachers are caring and nurturing and he can literally talk to any of the kids here. If you're looking for a thriving counterculture to the average mean middle schooler experience than this is the place for you.

This is a very serious Christ-centered school. They take the love for God and His son Jesus Christ very seriously here, and they seem to do it in a very loving and direct way. Prayer is done regularly and the omnipresent conversation of God the Father, and many stories from the scriptures are openly discussed every day. The class also requires all of their students to learn and memorize a new scripture every week and are all tested every Friday. (New scripture is given every Monday.)Math: It was indeed quite an adjustment this year because Summit teaches Singaporean math. Singapore for years has been rated number #1 in the world for Math and Science and it is by no mistake that the students from this country are doing better than countries like Japan, Korean, and China. Singaporean math requires the student to learn and understand at a deep-level, math facts and how numbers work in the context of real-world scenarios. Very challenging, but worth the challenge in sweat and agony at the desk. :)My review of my daughters teacher, Mrs. Slape:The quality of teacher that she has is far and away so much better than we had ever anticipated. Her teacher is incredibly bright, overwhelmingly creative in delivery of principles and complex concepts, incredibly articulate, very dignified and respectful, and wonderfully empathetic. She simply demands the best from her students, and the students ALL seem to be very eager to please her. All of the students commensurately respect her, love her, and even palpably want to be like her. She is incredibly accessible via email, phone, or in-person meetings if we need. We try to stay hands-off and find it completely and utterly not necessary to keep in close touch with her, but is so reassuring to know that she is there should we have any questions, concerns, etc.

Summit is like an extension of your home. Our son just graduated from Summit this past year. We are so thankful to have chosen Summit Classical Christian School to be a part of our child’s educational journey. Their Godly teachings have blessed us beyond our expectations. The entire teaching team is amazing. They are dedicated lifelong learners who are committed to working alongside students and families. Summit partners with parents to ensure their child has all around success; socially, emotionally and academically. They are steadfast in developing a God centered community. Although my son is now attending a Christian University (and thanks to Summit’s support was accepted to all the schools he applied to). Summit isn’t just about college preparation. They have a higher calling. They help our children find their God given purpose and place in our world with Jesus. I couldn’t have imagined a better place for our son.

10/10 Summit is still a small, growing school but for us the lack of certain programs that larger schools can provide could never trump the incredible education that our kids are getting. Their minds AND hearts are being shaped and in the end our highest goal is to raise young men and women of character.

Teachers are passionate about educating the individual students in their classroom while working to create environment full of energy and love of learning. It is not about passing a test, but growing and developing the talents that God has given each child.

Summit is a tremendous school. The classical model helps my child learn so much more than I thought was possible. The teachers are awesome and so kind. I love that they are learning in a biblical manner and able to pray with their teachers and friends. The cost is also very competitive compared to other private school options.
