Emerald Heights Academy has been a dream come true for our family! This is our fifth year attending this magnificent school, and our children are so incredibly happy, healthy and are learning quality life lessons in addition to the advanced level curriculum. They look forward to school each day and feel enthusiastic to see their friends and teachers. They have an appropriate amount of homework each night that keeps them engaged throughout the school year. Our Catholic faith is represented well in the school as they discuss virtues each month, pray throughout the day, have religious courses and attend mass each week as a school. The teaching staff is exceptional. With the small class sizes, they are able to tailor lessons to the individual child when necessary. EHA is truly a gem! God has blessed our family with the opportunity to attend this outstanding school in the beautiful Lakemont neighborhood, and we will be forever grateful!

EHA has been a gift to our family. This is our third year at the school and we have 3 children enrolled. They are all thriving and happy. Teachers are the best asset this school has; they are all fabulous and really passionate about teaching the mind and educating the spirit. Our children adjusted quickly, and other students made them feel welcome right away. Academic excellence is a priority, but character and virtue formation is also part of everything they do. There are many fun enrichment programs and field trips. Catholic/Christian education at its best! We are so happy at Emerald Heights Academy.

As a home educator I was so happy with what my student received as a home-enrichment student. He was included in so much. It was an amazing experience.

We have been part of Emerald Heights Academy for 4 years. We have two (happy) children currently attending the school and we could not be happier ourselves. Superior and exceeding high standards academic combined with strong character formation and Christian values in a family-like environment. The Principal and teachers are simply phenomenal and the kids love and support each other. The low student/teacher ratio provide an opportunity for more customized education and the kids are never treated like a number. It is a special place and we feel like we are giving our children so much more than just academic formation. We would highly recommend this school to anyone and encourage a visit there... it would be love at first sight, like it was for us. Just great.

Our family really loves EHA. I don’t think there is a school like this in the area.

EHA is a "secret gem" (I saw this in a past comment).

We just enrolled our daughter there for 1st grade and absolutely love it! they follow through with what they teach - I don't see the principal or teachers say one thing and then do something else. They are incredibly supportive and I am finding that this is becoming a family rather than just a school.

We have had all four of our children attend this school over many years. They have all been well prepared academically, socially, spiritually and emotionally for high school and beyond and even our children currently in college reflect warmly on their time here. Private school has been a sacrifice financially for our family, but we would choose it all over again!

Sending our kids to EHA has been one of the best decisions we have ever made. We love the school so much. I am so grateful that my kids are being educated in such a positive, Catholic, and family-like environment. The school has a strong community; everyone knows and cares about each other. As a few bonus notes, the PE teacher is wonderful, the music program is amazing, and the field trips have allowed my kids to have some really unique and amazing experiences over the years.

EHA is a small hidden gem that should remain a "secret" so that it can continue to be so effective at forming exception people. We have two children who are happy to go to school, are at least one grade above the state requirements and have formed deep bonds with their classmates. Teachers are first role models and invest equal effort in teaching academics as well as to become a well-behaved, caring human being. The school is also fully committed to developing children following the traditional christian set of values.

This school is phenomenal. There is just something iintangible about it that makes it really special. The sense of community and family is wonderful. I strongly considered homeschooling, but this is even better. I don't worry for a second about any bad influences at EHA and the academics are superior. It is exactly what I would do if I had my own school. I don't worry for a second what is going on at school, or who my kids are hanging out with. I am very impressed to see how many graduating 8th graders received scholarships to private high schools. Great, great school.

My family moved to Washington last year and we entered our daughter into EHA in the middle of the school year. At first we were somewhat anxious about entering a school with an accelerated curriculum and exceedingly high standards, but we were overwhelmed by the support of both the faculty and school community. Today our daughter is thriving at EHA and we are blessed to be a part of a school community that strives to build Christian leaders and make a difference in the greater community. I highly recommend prospective families looking for excellent student to teacher ratios, accelerated curriculum and Integral Formation to visit Emerald Heights Academy. You won't be disappointed.

My daughter graduated from EHA last year, and our son is in middle school now. The middle school program and teachers are very special. Instead of scared, mean girls, the kids at EHA work together and support each other. They work together on community projects, are traveling to Washington DC, and have Friday enrichment activities, where they go kayaking, hiking and other great activities to build each other up instead of tearing each other down. Our daughter is so grounded, friendly, and well-mannered. Now that she is in high school, she is WAY ahead of her peers academically. EHA has an impressive new principal and is doing all the right things. It is truly a home away from home where I have no worries about the environment or what my children are being exposed to. Thanks to this school, I have so few worries about my daughter in high school. She knows right from wrong and will do very well with this great start. We can't say enough great about this school

We are so lucky to have this school on the Eastside. High academic standards, low student/teacher ratio, a true sense of community and family, caring teachers. A school that actually still teaches the children manners, generosity, kindness as well as the strongest academics around. Our children are so grounded, confident, friendly and happy. They love their school.

What a special place - our children are thriving, happy, and receiving a top-notch education at Emerald Heights. The small class sizes ensure that the children get individual attention and can learn at whatever level they are ready. The school atmosphere is like a family, and the teachers are outstanding. The academics are excellent, and the overall happiness of the kids says it all. We are thrilled to have found this best-kept secret of a school.

My son has attended Emerald Heights Academy for three years. It is a wonderful school, where the teachers, principals, and other parents all want what was is best for each child. The leadership, public speaking, and values they learn are priceless. The academic standards are high, and the small class size allows the teachers to provide an individualized education for each child.

Emerald Heights Academy is an outstanding school. My daughter has been there for 3 years and is growing into a beautiful young lady. Their teachers are warm and loving and really care of the kids. I love having a school that backs up the virtues we teach at home. Our daughter can't wait go to school in the morning, she even asks if she can go on the weekends.

Emerald Heights has made our job of parenting so much easier. It's the best environment for our children because it encourages kind-heartedness, concern for others, honesty, self-discipline and good manners. The other parents also share the same desire to instill good character in our children. Their teachers really know and love our children.
