Students have a wide variety of study options to choose from, from in-person or live online, from regular, Honors, and AP courses to test preps. The school system is designed so it can flexibly support and help students from all corners of the world, with different academic backgrounds, achieve quality American education. All teachers and staff are passionate and dedicated. Students complete a course with a solid understanding of materials and concepts.

This school does not care about it's students. The grading policy is made so that it is impossible to get anything less than an A-. Cheating is encouraged and not punished at all. This is basically self study as the teachers are given several different classes they are expected to teach simultaneously. The courses are online through Apex and it is very poorly designed. English classes are basically all the same. There are no days off from school, including the days that are clearly marked as no school days on the calendar. It is also an unbelievably small school with clubs that are required (and also basically fake). Student Council could not do anything because the school was too small and everyone had to be in it. There are pictures of fake campuses and fake students of the month on the wall, which is very weird. There is no community within the school because it is so small. The principal clearly only cares about money and does not allow the teachers to teach the content (even within the apex course) in a better way, they are only there to be glorified tutors. I have many issues with this school that are better reflected on a different review site.

Solomon school has many supportive teachers that will run you through the problem and help you understand how to solve it in all subjects it teaches. For example, in a math subject, the teacher will help a student understand a process or formula by rewording the lesson to fit the student better using comparisons and examples that will make the student understand better. My most memorable subject in Solomon school is its English teaching and the way the teachers will not just teach you what is the right way to write, but how and why writing in such a fashion creates a good essay. While the school was relatively small when I was a student at the school, the environment made me feel involved in many activities and helped me make friends with the few people that were there. I worked very hard at the school and finally have a good GPA and received scholarship from a fine university. I am looking forward to a colorful life in the future.

The last couple of years have been very trying for students and teachers alike, but under the principal’s leadership, Solomon International School has been quick to adapt to changing global events to ensure no disruption ever occurred with student’s learning. This is in part due to the flexible nature of the school’s blended learning model which allows students to learn online, in the classroom, or both. It has been a real pleasure working with students and staff at Solomon International School. The teachers are extremely flexible and understand the challenges faced by both American and International students to provide an informal learning environment where all students feel welcomed. SIS teachers create mentoring relationships via Clubs like Student Council to build social and language skills and I have seen first hand how students develop a deeper understanding and appreciation of world cultures based on the friendships they make at Solomon International School. Families too turn to SIS for support to help their students overcome educational barriers, maintain academic success and navigate college applications.

This school saved my chances of getting into my dream colleges. All my teachers are very knowledgable in their respective subjects and teach in a way that is both engaging and clear. Math and science have always been my most challenging areas throughout elementary/middle school, but my teachers have been able to make these subjects digestible and comprehendible to me and even heightened my interest in how these subjects translate to the real world. They also made the college application process far less intimidating as they provided clear steps on how to complete the application. Also, the principle, Mr. Lee, checks in with each student regularly to make sure that we're staying motivated and encouraged which helps when the course works becomes heavy. For anyone willing to put in the work, SIS provides a great opportunity to learn and accomplish your goal of attending a great college. This upcoming year, I will be attending the University of Washington, and I credit this accomplishment to the encouraging staff of SIS.

I just graduated high school and am going to be attending the University of Washington in the fall—this school was honestly a life-saver for me. The staff here is incredibly supportive; each teacher is very knowledgable in their respective field of study and keep the students on task. Even for subjects I've disliked in the past and not done well in (math and science), the teachers taught in a way that helped me understand how studying these subjects help in the real world which made the whole experience a lot more engaging and interesting. Also, the principle, Mr. Lee, is always on each student's case when it comes to finishing course work (in the best way). If he saw that my pace was slowing down, he'd encourage me to finish what I started, which I was ultimately able to do. Overall, coming to this school saved my grades (no exaggeration) and I'd recommend it to anyone who's willing to put in the work!

How many schools can say that 100% of their students have gained admissions to major universities? My son was one of those students. When he transferred to Solomon, he had a 3.3 GPA and little chance of getting into any of the top colleges. But, by the time he graduated, he had a 3.93 GPA and offers of admission from 5 universities, including the University of Washington and top-tier University of California schools. I attribute my son's success to a school administration that genuinely cares for and supports their students, and excellent teachers who create a high-achieving, yet encouraging, academic environment. I could not be happier with Solomon International School and the success they helped my son achieve!

I joined this small but warming community in my sophomore year. After almost two years studying here, I would like to reflect on the path of my learning and share a few points about Solomon helped me achieving my academic goals. 1. Effective Learning method and environment Everyone works hard in Solomon. All of us have a purpose (goal) when we come here, so we are very self-driving in learning. Staying in the environment, I become very focus while I am working and was able to increase efficiency and while maintain quality at the same time. The SEC provides effective way of learning, where we take online class with teachers in the classroom ready to answer questions and give suggestions. This way I can control my own pace while learning (so I can spend less time on the material I have already mastered, or devote more time to the knowledge that I am struggling with and discuss with my teacher.) 2. Helpfulness of the teachers. I really appreciate the helpfulness of the teachers. The population of the classes is small, and the teachers are always there when you need them. I remember a picture of a meme posted on the wall of our math classroom. On it says: “have questions? Just ask.” In the class room, I never feel hesitate to ask, and my questions get solved right away without having to wait until after class or tutorial time. I was surprised by how responsible the teachers are when I first came here. Every time I send my Essay rough draft to my English teacher suggestion on how to revise my paper, he always returns the paper back to me with very detailed grammar corrections and suggestions on how to improve the flow, transitions and voice of my essay. My writing skills improved quickly under this system. Now reflect back on my path of learning, I want to say that I am glad that I was introduced to Solomon, which in its environment provided me the effective learning method and help teachers.

Time flies so fast. My son has been studying in your honorable school for about 4 years. This year, Michael achieved the admission letter from University of Washington (Seattle campus). This is the common wish among Michael, his mother, and myself. At SIS, all teachers’ support and Michael's efforts help him achieve the positive results.A little over three years ago, there were some changes made in Michael's old school and his home-stay family due to some reasons. Then, we knew about your honorable school (Solomon International School) and Michael got into 9th grade in your school.During these years, I deeply understand our school's education philosophy, examination method and management approach through much communication with Michael, the teachers, and the school.Michael has developed from a middle school student never leaving his parents to a wholesome adult student.I would like to mention the following aspects of our school:Our school's small class size allows teachers to communicate with students completely and answer students' questions quickly. All teachers are responsible and willing to help students with studying in a prompt manner. Our school's night school system gives students more opportunities to make up and improve their low-grade courses. Our school's strict dormitory management is able to ensure safety for the students who are far away from their parents and familiar surroundings. It makes parents feel relieved and comfortable. The administration’s communication really helps to give information about the students' study and life situation to parents who are not in the US and don't know English. Then, parents can cooperate with the school to help students. Now, our school has moved to a new campus, which further improves the facilities in the school.THANKS to the school for training my kid.

The faculty and staff at our school are dedicated and compassionate. Each teacher and staff member communicates with the others about each student, so we can work together to provide each student the best possible education.Along with teaching mathematics and economics, I get to host an after school club, and I enjoy a lot of freedom in the variety of clubs I might present. Over the years, I have hosted a creative writing club, an astronomy club, an internet club, a computer game club, and a robotics club. With clubs, I can respond to student interests and also challenge them to go in new directions.SIS students come from all over the world, and we have many fascinating conversations in the classroom about language and culture, often relating to economics and the history of mathematics. I enjoy experiencing their broad perspectives, and they get many insights into American culture and the English language. I love having intellectual conversations with young people from around the world.

The only word I have for my high school experience is amazing. I have done great in schoolwork and immersed myself in activities and clubs. There is nothing I should regret… Looking back, I am so proud that I have studied in different schools and met so many amazing individuals. My circle was limited before I studied abroad. My friends were all Chinese and relatively conservative. We all shared very similar opinions on issues. Now my friends are from all over the world; each of them is different in many ways. Such diversity helps me to learn differences in cultures, personalities, and ideas. It also improves my understanding of the world. I owe gratitude to many teachers and friends at this school and my previous schools.

Looking back, I feel that I have accomplished so much in such a short time, and I am proud of that. I arrived at Solomon High School a little immature. Over the years I have learned a lot about taking responsibility. My junior year was the most stressful challenge for me as I attended day and night school; both of which had a lot of assignments with deadlines. This taught me to manage my time wisely and not to give up even though it seemed impossible sometimes… I think all of this gave me the courage to apply to some good universities...I do believe I will finish my high school as a better student and person than when I entered it. Being a junior and senior is the fast track to growing up and it is a wakeup call for most of us. … Through my high school experience I have learned knowledge, time management, responsibility, and the competitive spirit that I will need to survive in the world outside academia.

As I finish my senior year, I’ve made more friends than I expected. I helped plan and participated in school activities and had a blast. Most importantly I accomplished what I came to do at this school: I got into college. In the fall, I'll be headed to Western Washington University to study biology. This couldn't have been possible without Mr. Lee (who believed in me from the moment I came here), other staff members and my friends. I’m still lackadaisical (my favorite SAT word), but I also have better time management skills and I get things done while still having fun...I’m looking forward to using the skills I learned at Solomon next year at Western.

Without Solomon, I would not have been the person I am now. In this school, I met the very best people that I could ever call friends, the people who gave me the love of family that I missed out on because I left my parents so early. I met the very best teachers who teach me with all their hearts, giving me knowledge that one day I will definitely need. Most importantly, I met Solomon, the place that brings sweet memories, family and friends, laughter and tears - my second home.

Since my child started to study at Solomon International School, I am very impressed with the school's work. The school arranges all classes for students very reasonably. Teachers are very serious and responsible. SIS looks after students very well and cares about them. Students are able to get safe and comfortable living place and healthy food. Solomon School also has strict management, which helps students focus on studying completely.

Hello the school leaders and teachers,I very appreciate that you educate and care about my son during these four years. Our whole family is so delighted that he has received admission letters from five American four-year universities. I would like to express my millions of thanks to the school and teachers for teaching my son and especially providing him precious educational direction and guiding him to develop in a better way according to his needs! Besides studying, I really appreciate that you care about my kid's development on personal character, social skills, health and safety! In the previous time, he often got sick. The school and Mrs. Shen really cared about him and brought him to the clinic to see a doctor. It makes us feel very comfortable. Thanks to the school and teachers for being patient and tolerant to my kid, and then he could improve positively and achieve today's good grades and good health!

Time passes so quickly. Our son will finish his studying at Solomon International School in this coming June and start his university life in the second half of this year. So far, he has received the admission letter from the University of Washington Seattle campus and the UC Santa Barbara. We are very delighted for our son to get such good achievement. He began to study at Solomon School as a 10th grader from February, 2016. During these two years, we are very happy to see his development because of the wonderful learning atmosphere and surrounding at Solomon School where there is a group of dedicated and great teachers such as the principal, vice principal, all American teachers and night school teachers. We are very impressed on teacher Xiaojing Shen who communicates with us a lot. Her working attitude really moves us. She cares about our son very well and communicates with us closely. She helps us know about our son’s learning situation quickly. Because of this kind of group of teachers, Solomon School has turned out excellent students who got admitted into well-known universities in the world. Also, we very appreciate the dormitory supervisors and kitchen ladies. Strict requirements on students' life helped our son develop good life habits. This will be the precious treasure in his whole life.I would like to completely recommend Solomon School to my friends if their kids will come to the US to achieve good education because my kid grows up and develops here!Last but not least, I wish Solomon School a great future!
