I have two children- one who is gifted and one who has health problems which causes him to struggle. Anderson Grove was great for my gifted child. They recognized the work was too easy for him and provided him with material that was more challenging. He did very well. While we were at Anderson Grove, I thought my other child was doing well, however, once we moved, I learned otherwise. The new school brought in more specialists to help him. They are addressing issues which went unnoticed at Anderson Grove. He has a smaller class size in a class specifically set up for kids who need extra help. This new school is doing a much better job helping him to succeed. Overall, if your child does not have unique issues, I would recommend Anderson Grove. My kids loved it. I know PE isn't a big priority, but the PE teacher is amazing. They make sure the kids are active by giving more PE and recess time. Our new school lacks that. They are also great about communicating any issues at school.

As a former staff member, I cannot say enough great things about the principal. She is 1000 percent dedicated. Being a former principal myself, I know the demands of the job. She is clearly the best principal I have ever known.

I honestly have to say that I have had a great experience in the Papillion-LaVista School District. My son attended Anderson Grove Elementary and was well prepared for middle school. As a result he was ready for advanced math placement. Consequently, when he made his way to Papillion South High School he was ready for Honors and AP classes. I'm proud to say that he is going into his Senior year and scored a 33 on his ACT. All thanks to the education he received each step of the way in this District. Many thanks!

As a former staff member of Anderson Grove, I cannot tell you how much this entire staff cares about each and every child who attends. The school is truly a family community - working together to encourage growth academically and socially. The example starts with the principal and is modeled throughout the building. You will feel it as soon as you enter! A great place to work and a great place to send your child.

My child attended this school for 4 years. I LOVED the staff! They were all very warm and caring. The principal was fantastic as was all of the staff. All of that aside I believe the education is lacking. My child never had homework or spelling words etc. Since we started a new school I can really see how much it was lacking. The music program thrives on a few "favorite" students who are always picked for everything. This makes it hard for any other child to try out for a part in a play/program because you know they won't get it. I tried to get my child in to the HALL program (gifted) but was told they didn't have enough "points" to get in. My childs new teacher said that my child was very gifted and should have been in honors all along. This was not by me asking, it was her addressing it to me at confrences. My child is now in honors and thriving! While I loved the staff and the environment at Anderson Grove it did not make up for what it was lacking education wise.

Can't really speak much about the school itself, as my child has not been attending too long. School is clean and staff seems very friendly. I did want to comment on the small class sizes in another users comment. My child started at this school in October and there are 29 students in his class. I was told that at the end of last year many students moved, and there were not enough students to add another class. I have been told that the teacher does have another adult helping at most times, but I still feel this is way to many kids for a 2nd grade class.
