District 175 serves the wonderful and diverse neighborhoods on the West End of Belleville. We have had excellent educators and administrators who work hard for all of the students and strive to lift each kid up. Many of the issues that people complain about are out of the control of the district. When parents fail their children and fail to act as a team with the school, student performance and behavior suffers. The families who want to be successful, will be successful. The school produces many successful high school students in academics, the arts, and athletics. We are proud to be a part of the 175 family, and you should be too.

My daughter breezed through with A's and B's, transferred to another district and barely made C's. Dumb down the education for all because a teacher cannot fail a whole class.

My son is receiving accelerated learning opportunities that were not available to him in another school. It has been a challenge to find a fit for him. I am very pleased he is enjoying academics, athletics, and clubs available to him.

I feel that this school is really beginning to turn around! I had a step daughter who went here for two years and now both of my children go there. The teachers are great, and they really make sure they do everything they can to prepare the students for high school and life. We love the district so much that we are planning on moving, but are only considering houses in the Emge school district. I highly recommend this school and district!

I would rate the teachers and staff at this school 5 out of 5. The teachers are top notch and should be recognized for their outstanding efforts. The problem with the school is there seems to be a high percentage of disipline problems, and it really is not fair to those children who are hard working and respectful to have disruptive kids in class, It really effects the atmosphere of the school in a negative way. I think that they should have behavior classes and seperate the disruptive kids, so as to not interfere with those children who want to learn. Again, I believe strongly, that EMGE has fantastic teachers,

I attended Emge and liked it. That is, until I attended a high school outside of this district and realized how poorly prepared my education was. While Emge was nice, it cannot provide the sound education that is required for children to excel in high school and attend top universities.
