Perfect school. Completely Torah-observant, welcoming to everyone. From kindergarten to Eighth Grade, I’ve felt like I was learning quickly, with every classmate as a friend. Today, I took my eighth grade math regents—possibly my last time being in Har Torah. I am completely prepared for what is to come. The teachers are amazing, and enjoy their job. They give themselves to their students, and know exactly what each child needs. Har Torah education is based on giving each child the highest education he can get as an individual, different for each person, but still working as a family. I’ve developed love for Torah, love for learning in general, interest in everything, high ambition, tremendous respect for superiors, perfect social skills (initially difficult for me), and intimate love for the staff and students. As Jews, we are all family, and in Har Torah, we all know it.One thing to note: This year—and only this year—roughly half of the eighth and seventh graders have not been educated on why they should keep the Torah. They still did, but not at the highest level. If your child is easily influenced, wait for two years to send them here. Otherwise, send them the day school starts, with no hesitation. I want to stress that Har Torah is the highest elementary and middle Yeshiva on and around Long Island, and those running it have been doing so for decades. My uncles attended school here, and they say they loved it at least as much as I. This is the best option for your child to get an education, including Torah, english subjects, and personal development. This is the best of the best.Oh, I almost forgot—Danny the security guard. Danny is the favorite of every student. His presence counts for a large amount of my enjoyment and feeling of friendship at this school. When you come over to our school, look for the average-height Indian security guard, and say hello. You will not regret anything.

Love YHT! The education -- both in terms of academics and values -- is top notch. It also just seems to have a knack for attracting really nice families.

Just a great, no-nonsense Modern Orthodox elementary school that produces nice, well-prepared sought-after students year after year.

Har Torah is a unique school. It’s academically excellent without sacrificing warmth. It produces bright, kind, well-prepared, confident graduates. A unique thing about the school is that it draws kids from all over. Everyone at Har Torah chose it over a geographically closer option. This has a number of benefits but I’ll highlight two. First, the parent body is really invested in the school because it was no one’s default choice. If you send to Har Torah you’ve thought about your options and chose it over something else. Second, because the school is not attached to any particular community or high school, I would guess it sends large numbers of graduates to a wider array of yeshiva high schools than any other local elementary school. Graduates regularly go to Central, SAR, DRS, HANC, Ramaz, MTA, North Shore, Rambam, HAFTR, and others. And the school can provide unbiased, individualized HS guidance, free of any local politics. Har Torah is a special place filled with special students, administrators, faculty, and staff. I’m grateful every day that my kids go there.

Amazing place, if you can get in. Amazing teachers, administration, and really nice, smart kids.

School is horrible in picking good teachers because they don't want to spend and is very stingy and no qulified substitutes, allthough private. my son wasted his good years there. My son walked around hungry, eventhough we paid full tuition plus lunch. They discriminate and pick the kids they want to keep and would do anything to kick you out.
