During the 3 years my daughter spent at coosa the experience was nothing but AMAZING! The teachers here are wonderful and make the kids feel safe and welcomed. Each teacher my daughter had was amazing and she learned so much well being here, we are sad to be leaving this wonderful school. Keep up the awesome job coosa elementary!!

We loved our short time at coosa. My daughter attended the pre-k program and she loved it.

Amazing School! My children were new to this school last year. We had never moved before so I was nervous at how well they would adjust. They were welcomed in with open arms. We met Mrs Dillard on our school tour and she was all smiles, friendly and honestly interested in the kids. All of the teachers know all of the kids. They are electronically advanced as well. Laptops and Ipads in all the classrooms. They teach the children proper safety for the Internet. They are extremely focused on the future of the children. I am more than pleased with my choice to send my kids to Coosa

This is our first year in Beaufort County Schools, and we are very happy with Coosa Elementary. There are so many activities for the students to be involved in, and the teachers truly care about the students. It is a small school, so even though my children are in 1st grade, they know most of the teachers and the teachers know them. We are a military family, and the school is very understanding of the challenges we face. The PTO is very active, with many fun opportunities for the students.

I am a military spouse, the school should not win the five thousands dollars because the principal is a bad principal. She has a preference in the military. My son was scared to come to the class when he was in the Kindergarten. I explained the principal my concern and also the teacher. For my rewards she accused me of neglected and abused my son and she reported my name to DSS. The school has a lot activities and I always invited at the last minutes. The school do not send the invitation for 30 days in advance. My son love the fun activities, but under the table the principal is a bad person. They have great teachers, but some of the staff is not here for the students. They are there for the pay check.

The Beaufort area has some great elementary schools, but the faculty, staff, and parents of Coosa Elementary go above and beyond. Mrs. Dillard, the school principal, is involved in all aspects of the school. She even helps unload kids from the car rider line in the morning and waves goodbye to the bus riders in the afternoon! The kids are very inspired by their principal and try to earn rewards like getting to eat lunch with her! Coosa recently adopted Franklin/Stephen Covey's Leader in Me (similar to the 7 habits of highly effective people). The children's response to this program has be phenomenal! Self esteem is boosting, kids are caring toward their peers, and grades and behavior are improving. You can clearly see these little leaders in action when you walk down the halls! Good for Coosa, for teaching values and leadership along with their daily curriculum!

Extremely happy with this school. This is the best elementary school in Beaufort County hands down. My son is in 1st grade and doing extremely well, but he also has a wonderful teacher, Mrs. Evans. The only criticism I would have for the school and the district as a whole is the lack of a good, well-enforced, 'No Bullying' Policy. This is one area they need to greatly improve on.
