James E Freer is a warm, caring school with lots of after school programs and opportunities for your child to connect and take ownership of "his school". Kids at Freer get excited about their school and the events that take place there! The student -teacher ratio keeps class sizes small enough for teachers to build a community within the classroom and connect with each child per any special needs. Freer fosters a love for community and education and is a great place for your child to be introduced to learning!

Freer is a very family oriented school. Parent involvement is greatly encouraged. As a parent, you can be as involved in your child's education as you want to be. Teachers and staff are accessible. By the end of her Kg year she was reading at almost a second grade level. My daughter is in first grade, both her Kg and current teacher were/are willing to discuss any questions or concern even if it's not parent teacher conferrence time. I volunteer on a weekly basis in her classroom. There are many different reading levels. The teachers (Mrs J Marks) does an amazing job of accommodating all levels and abilities. My son will start Kg next year. He has speech issues and I am not at all concerned because I know he will get all the attention and help he needs.
