The staff are incredibly friendly and work hard to ensure the needs of students and families are met. Systemic policies often interfere with early interventions initiated by classroom teachers.

The administration does not care about the safety or well-being of students or staff. Bullying, harassment, and assault are rampant with no consequences for those engaging in the behaviors.

Bullying is not taken care of. There are only two teachers per grade and unable to teach due to children's behaviors.

Academically the school is pretty solid, however, they learning environment needs to be improved. The school is dirty...rusty sinks in bathrooms (my son comes home with rust and dirt on his shirt from leaning on the sink in the bathroom to wash his hands), they have a rodent problem (seen several mice in the school), poor hygiene and not very many water coolers for children to have water during the day. The resource classes can be improved. Gym teacher seems very disinterested in engaging with students and allowing them to have fun in her class.

My children are academically on point because of my dedication and the help of that school I love the school just not the environment.

Great school especially for a so-so neighborhood. Principal is great with students. The office secretary for the Academy(housed the 4th and 5th graders) is good with and students and parents. I really like the school.
