We have had nothing but positive experiences with Villa Cresta Elementary. The teachers have been supportive, enthusiastic, caring and most importantly accommodating to each child as an individual. We just love this school!

I'm a little disappointed at this school. Teachers are great , but absolutely no kind of acknowledgement to students. My child got honor roll all the time.but not one time was it acknowledged by the school. My child's friends get certificates and recognition and she asked me why she did not get any. 100 days of school never happens and God forbid halloween parades are now after school.

I have no idea why this school is rated a 4. I have a child there in IEP, and they are leagues above helpful. The office staff is super amazing and the her teachers have been nothing but amazing. I am fully involved in her school as well as volunteer at the school. As a parent, I know I have to be fully involved so my child will experience a good learning environment. It's not just up to the school alone to make sure the kids succeed.

We couldn't be happier with our experience with Villa Cresta. After having two children attend the school over the past four years I can say that the teachers and administration are committed to the success of every student!

My child is currently in third grade and I have seen a decrease in the school the last two years. Administration is not available to parents, they do not take care of problems within the school, there are a very small handful of teachers that care, and others who get by with doing the minimum. The fun of school has been taken out and is all business all of the time. When papers have to go home, so that a parent agrees to help the child with an out of school assignment, I think it speaks volumes about the school atmosphere.

One of the better schools in the county. I can't fathom how it is aged a 4 out of 10? Deserves much better!

Great! The 1st grade teacher Mr S is wonderful. He has great control of his class and he gives his attention to each child. Wonderful teaching methods.

The only issue I have with the schooling system put I.E.P students in classrooms with children with out special needs. Many of these I.E.P kids have behavioral issues. It isn't fair for the kids that don't have these issues to have to deal with the I.E.P kids. Those kids should be in an alternative classroom working on their issues to return to regular Ed and if they can not resolve the issues just keep them in alternative classrooms. Schools are catering more and more to these special need kids and allowing normal and advanced kids to fall in the shadows. Baltimore County schools are becoming more like Baltimore City schools. You had some hope looking forward to putting your child in a magnet school where kids score in but now it's an open lottery so your kid will have to deal with the I.E.P emotional and behavioral issue child some more. Save up your money for PRIVATE SCHOOL..Baltimore County Schools are downward spiraling

My daughter is a 3rd grader in Villa Cresta now. She loves this school, she enjoys going every day. We both have liked every teacher and teacher aid or helper there. On a negative note the class sizes are a bit large (27-30) and most classes only have a teacher no aids or assistants. I did speak with the principle on this subject and she says that she asks for aid every opportunity she gets. It is a shame that the state does not comply.

I have a 3rd grader at Villa Cresta and am considering transferring to private school because the class sizes are large and any kid that is struggling will not get the attention they need to keep up. I rated the school above average mainly because it's one of the better public schools. I will say it is important to make sure you watch the teachers very closely and make sure they understand that you are an involved parent. I strongly feel that kids of parents who do not make themselves very well know to the staff are likely to be neglected.
