Lakeside Union School District stands out as a beacon of educational excellence and community involvement. The dedicated staff go above and beyond to support students and parents, creating a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere that prioritizes academic achievement and personal growth. The district offers an impressive array of extracurricular activities, including swimming, sports, and band, which enrich students' educational experiences and help them develop critical life skills such as teamwork, discipline, and time management. Employing Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), the district fosters a positive and effective learning environment by incentivizing good behavior through various rewards and recognition programs. This comprehensive approach ensures that students are well-prepared for future success, making Lakeside Union School District a commendable choice for families seeking a supportive educational environment.

My experience at this school is terrible. The teachers don't care about their students in academic progress or safety. None of the staff follow safety protocol. They can't keep bus drivers your child will be late to school or not picked up at all. If you can avoid these school I suggest doing so. I also know other families who are dealing with their children getting bullied and the school isn't helping them either.

This school needs a lot. It looks like they are there just for money it doesn’t seem like they have love for their job as it was back in the day. They don’t show motivation to the kids, there is almost never a bus, with the excuse of been short handed the whole entire year, nothing done about it, parking lot terrible, this year graduation was so depressing not even a ballon there is really no excitement, teachers all frustrated, if I can only show the award my son work for the whole year for a piece of paper printed out and hand writing. I am so upset.

This school is extremely disappointing on so many levels. They lack order for the staff and students. Building, parking lot, playground equipment are in dire need of updating and it does not happen. The principal really seems like he is doing the bare minimum; just keeping the wheels from falling off. He tries to appease complaints and concerns to your face but does little to nothing to actively resolve issues. It would be in the best interest of your children to open enroll in Suburu, which is in the same school district.

I go to lakeside and it's an ok school. Its just that it's so far away from where I live that it's right next to the farms so it smells like cow poop half the year and it's old so I really don't like it here. The food tastes terrible though some things are ok. The teachers are actually great they motivate you but I'm not going to lie teachers can be a pain. The end of the year activities are alright but wish they had a soccer team or some more electives because the only elective you have for the whole year is band and cheer so there ain't that much.
