Babylon Memorial Grade School is a fantastic place to not only get a great education, but also learn to be a good citizen. I have 3 children who have gone through the grade school and have been there through 3 principals. They have gone from bad to great. It is very sad that our current principal, Eric Freidman, is leaving at the end of this year our administration should have done what they could to keep him. He has brought our school to National Recognition as a school of Character, he should be rewarded not condemned.

Babylon Memorial grade School is a great school because we are a school of character education. The children learn not only academics but they learn and practice citizenship, kindness, and to help one another.

The last of my children are currently enrolled at Babylon Memorial Grade School and as I watch my other children navigate through their junior high and senior high school careers, I know the foundation of their motivation and positive approach towards the challenges they face originates in their experience at the grade school. Under the direction and leadership of its principal, Eric Friedman, this school fosters a respect and concern amongst its teachers and their students. A school of Character like Babylon Memorial Grade School is a rare find on Long Island and the time, commitment, and collaboration it takes to reach that status is I am sure a major reason why other school districts do not hold the same title. Our families are the fortunate recipients of a nurturing and dedicated school under the guidance of a devoted principal.

Two of my children have gone through this school and two children are there now. My kids are excited to go to school. The teachers are enthusiastic and dedicated. And they are led by a principal who is actively involved in the character and education of the students in this building. Mr. Freidman has created a school that teaches children to be responsible, caring, honest AND smart. All of my children have had great experiences in class, in clubs and in the excellent music program. It s definitely a five-star school.

I attended this school during the late 70's and the changes there are night and day. Under Mr. Freidman's direction the school has become a far more peaceful place. In this test crazed environment, the school works to create well balanced students. The Character Education Program in the school is been great. I have a child in the building who is not only beoming a good student but a good person. Mr. Freidman works to help ALL the children in the school, not a select few.

Mr. Friedman is the worst administrator I have ever encountered. Seems to hate parents and not give a rats about kids. Average education; some outstanding teachers and some utter duds.
