Overall a good school with great programs. Not all the teachers care but it's really a great place to go to school.

Very few great teachers, over all just doesn't do enough to prepare students for the real world and support them.

Teachers seem to care. Principal seems to care. Students are friendly. Classwork seems fair. Good class offerings.

Avon High school is a school very oriented towards "ratings" and how they appear to prospective families ready to send their children to the school. The school system is not there to help the children in need. I myself had a couple rough spots in my time at Avon High School, and all the administration and teachers did was make my complex, difficult life even harder. A small handful of teachers are very good at their jobs. The others disrespect students and treat them like dirt. I, Personally, as a human being with natural inalienable rights, feel that it is wrong for the staff of Avon high school to treat students like they are all under the supreme knowledge of all teachers and to speak condescendingly towards all students. The "no tolerance" policy is simply an excuse to not deal with students. Not too long ago, if two students got in a fight or were doing the wrong sorts of actions, the school would punish them for misbehaving and that would be that. These days are no longer, with the police state marching through the halls of Avon high school any student caught in a fight will be charged with assault. Schools are there to help kids figure out right from wrong; Not Avon

Late start days are a terrible idea. It is disruptive to family schedules. You start the day later for the entire school for what should be and used to be after-school activities. These are extra curricular and, by definition, should be conducted around the school day, and not the other way around! Priorities, people. What did you think this would do to working families trying to manage a schedule and transportation issues?
