This school has gone above and beyond when it comes to teaching my child.

My wife went to Avalon from kindergarten through high school years ago and has told me how she had to supplement her schooling with tutors and not because of a learning disability but because they just didn't teach what they should. Fast forward to 5 years ago. My sister had her 2 boys enrolled and within 2 weeks, the teachers, counselor, and principal suggested that both of them had ADHD and required special needs classes. She sent them to a different school and had no problems and good grades from her boys. We sent our son there and the same result. They decided that he was a special needs child. We asked the teacher to send us a letter describing why. It was evident that the teacher couldn't spell, couldn't structure sentences, and didn't know basic grammar. End result was that we began homeschooling. He now is a year ahead of his class and we are now looking for a school to send him to. However, Avalon is not one we are considering.
