Teachers are kind, but front desk staff don't greet people back, ignore people, and as another person commented: "are snooty"

I wish everyone could experience Mills Elementary! We have been at Mills for 3 years and cannot imagine being anywhere else. Everyone - from the administration, staff, a d teachers - are kind, compassionate, and focused on doing what’s best for the families. The Principal is new as of spring 2021 and is doing a wonderful job weathering the pandemic and thinking creatively about how best to keep the students safe. We are SO happy at Mills!

Students are challenged and encouraged to think outside of the box. Great teachers!

Mills is a good school with many involved parents.

They focus on students behaviors rather than students academics. The curriculum was poorly taught by third grade teacher.Teacher expected students to be self directed and provided very little guidance and encouragement. Teacher seems to focus on external events in her personal life rather than students achievement. This is very disappointing and students will be paying the price next year. The teacher was apathetic and lack motivation when it came to teaching the curriculum. The teacher had high degree of abseentism and this effected the delivery of the content.

This school has great teachers but their front office staff could definitely use some work. They are very rude and in person and on the phone they are very snoddy. I wouldn't want to be a parent that has to interact with them on a daily basis.

Among the more excellent, high achieving primary schools in AISD. Veteran teachers and consistently high test scores. Suffering the same budget crunches as most schools these days. My kids have performed well here and seem highly motivated...
