I love this school, although some teachers put a lot of pressure on their students. It depends of how smart a student is. The students are fairly nice and you will have a lot of opportunities if you continue into the high school. Even though some of the teacher are unorganized, it is still a lovely school. I would highly reccomend.

This school doesn't let me do anything I want to do to pursue my dreams. They make me learn things I'm not interested in, and how to they expect us to remember all of this crap? We are not robots! I am sick and tired of coming home and having to push aside the things I love to do and have to do stupid school work that doesn't have to do with my passions. Because of this school, I am developing signs of depression and anxiety.

Academics are excellent if you are looking to have your child rigorously tested - for which the schools receive their funding ($$). Aurora is geared specifically to pump out college students. Socially, however, Aurora has been the worst years of my children's lives. They are constantly picked on and made to feel inferior. Even 2 cases of physically bullying my daughter (the 2nd time was never even dealt with). In short, Aurora is probably a good choice if you move here to a $500+K culdesac house. Your kid will be prepped for college and have a decent chance at not being an outcast. If you can't afford that type of house, your kids will greatly suffer, socially, at school. We are moving.

I was having trouble in school, I wasn't capable of their school level. I didn't get help from my past schools. Sometimes I do good but some other times I'm not. So I just didn't do my work. I was depressed from moving to new school, I had friends I had a life. So this school just added more to my depression and stress. One of the teachers harshly spoke to me. When class was over I began to cry. I went to the counselor and all she said was do my work. What's the point of doing it if I'm struggling? I can't do the work. It's too hard and complicated. Why can't teachers understand that some students aren't capable of doing stuff. I move to lots of different school but I'd have to say that this is the worst school I've been to. Parents don't let your kids go through what I've been to because it just causes stress and unhappiness.

Awesome school! my child was having a hard time at school -- she wasn't doing work as well as the teachers expected from her. so all of the teachers got together, invited me and my husband and my child to a conference, and put together a plan of action where everyone was helping to see that my child reached her potential. they really care about the children. I feel so fortunate that my child is in this school.
